The island is rocky and beautiful- but the resort is located on a strip of white sand. Deep sea swimming and sun bathing are part of the activities you can do here and you can also get to explore the whole island during low tide.
Next to the island is another island called Calabazas- this place has an 18th century Spanish-era lighthouse. Authentic blocks used by the builders are scattered in the area. With the sea air in your ears, it is an amazing experience to stand at the edge of the lighthouse and look over the sea.
Fondest memory: I love the privacy Nasidman island brings. I get to roam around the island and get to sit on the big branches of mangroves and sing to myself. :)
Nothing much to do apart from joining the fisherman on a trip and walking around a 24 hectare island.
But I had some great dives off the South side.
visibility not too good because of the shallow area, but between 3 and 7 meters, there is a lot of corral left.
Bring your own air and equipment.
Alternative divesite: Calabasas island, lighthouse area.
Stay at Marbuena island resort 8km further, a friendly and pecefull place.
Boats for transport can be hired all around for max P500 (+petrol) per day.
Fondest memory: The quiet time, the friendly people.
