Iloilo Province boasts of a lot of islands and beaches. What's so great about these places? One cannot find crowds of tourists (except of course during festivals) in these places, so you get to enjoy privacy. One of my favorite islands is Nasidman Island- situated in the municipality of Ajuy, Iloilo. The island is rocky and beautiful- but the resort is located on a strip of white sand. Deep sea swimming and sun bathing is part of the activities you can do here and you can also get to explore the whole island during low tide.Next to the island is another island called Calabazas- this place has an 18th century Spanish-era lighthouse. Authentic blocks used by the builders are scattered in the area. With the sea air in your ears, it is an amazing experience to stand at the edge of the lighthouse and look over the sea.

Nadsadan Falls

Igbaras would be the baryo next to Guimbal, beside Miag-ao. You would need to get in touch with mayor's office to request for a tour guide to get to the falls. After the hike, reaching the falls, drinking your juice and eating the pimiento sandwich..you would almost wish that there were accommodations near the place..But then again, would you risk commercialization? nah...
Plaza: Janiuay

The plaza is located right in front of the church of Janiuay. All the towns of Iloilo we visited have their own garden plaza.
