The more than 100-km stretch of Mallig Diversion Road that connects Tuguegarao, Cagayan to Santiago, Isabela would leave you wanting for a good restaurant especially when the grumbling tells you so. Definitely, no fastfood restaurants along the way. This road makes you feel you are in the middle of nowhere. Just ricefields as far asthe eye can see with a few cluster of houses by the road. Among the town centers you pass by, Roxas is somewhat the most prominent and strategically midway along this road. At the T-Junction of the town's mainroad is Betahany Chinese Cuisine Restaurant.
The newly-opened restaurant serves chinese food (noodles, siopao, etc) and has a bakery in case you opt for light snacks. Clean amenities.
Open till 10:00 PM.
Favorite Dish: Miki Bihon Guisado.

Translated into English, the restaurant's name means "Riverside". The restaurant is made of local materials and the furniture were carved out of wood. These gave Tabing Ilog a very cozy and cool ambience. And, although not built next to the river, the breeze coming from the nearby river could lull you to sleep, especially on a full stomach.
Favorite Dish: Sisig is a local dish of stir-fry pig's "ears" chopped into small pieces. It is usually eaten as a side dish by beer drinkers (while drinking beer, of course).
I never thought it would taste good eaten as a viand (with rice, this time) until I ran out of choices and settled for it. And what a good choice! Their sisig is pure pork or pig's meat, served hot. To better appreciate it, I added lemon juice, soy sauce, and chilli.
