The sun sets over South China Sea

The sun sets over South China Sea, Bauang

Monster78 Says:  A special worthwhile break from the medical mission was the boat trip from the resort to the white sand beach. There is whiter, softer, sand everywhere else in the Philippines, but compared to the earthy, solid, sand that lines the beach resort, the former was a nice...

Longbeach

Hotels

Bali hai bauang: Bali hai credit card fraud

Bali hai bauang: Bali hai credit card fraud, Bauang

Bali Hai Beach resort: Bali Wali

Bali Hai Beach resort: Bali Wali, Bauang

Cabana Beach Resort: Cabanarama, Bauang

jazu Says:  The rooms in Cabana Beach Resort are good for 3 persons at most, is a little old, no TV, and has airconditioning. The resort also has a restaurant overlooking the beach but the food is a little pricey. Resorts in Bauang area mostly have no pools so Cabana's swimming pool is...

I don't remember: Near Bauang, Bauang

herzog63 Says:  There are some beach run operations about 14 km from Bauang that are very nice also. A couple of them are good for surfing or strong swimmers only as the surf is very strong here!!

The Venue Restaurant

I don't know the exact location of "The Venue" restaurant since we just happen to pass it by along the highway of Bauang. It's between Cabana Beach resort and Bauang town proper. "The Venue" have a nice native appeal to it.They serve mostly filipino dishes such as crispy pata, sinigang na hipon, inihaw na pusit. The food is satisfactory but if you want fresh shrimp don't order the sinigang na hipon because you will only be dispappointed. One serving of the dishes i mentioned is good for 3 people. The service is okey.

Favorite Dish: We tried the crispy chicken and it's quite okey

Almost every night the sunset is jaw dropping!! There are some clubs in San Fernando that is close by. High Altitude is the most popular of them. It's up on the hill in San Fernando. (Ask a tricycle driver to take you there) Or if you want an evening meal there are some good seafood places to chose from. Long Beach Resort Hotel does great seafood.

Warnings and Dangers

The water's angry under current

The water's angry under current, Bauang

Monster78 Says:  The South China sea is beautiful and welcoming. The hot fire-spitting sun presses each person towards the cool waters, but does not warn those entering the ocean of the treacherous under current. In fact, while taking a boat trip to the white sand beach, the fisherman warned...

I was visiting a friend for a week in Pagdalagan Sur, Bauang. One morning i was walking out at the beach and saw a jetski moving about 50 miles per hour cruising in the nice calm water. I said to myself if i can ride one of those and found that there is a Water Sports Rental in Pagdalagan. Had few jetskis, banka boats for hunreds islands. With the price is was very good so i have enjoyed my week riding jetski on sunrise and sunset. So Bauang now had a lot to offer especially in the month of dry season. Love Bauang.

Equipment: Jetskis, Banka boat, kayak, floating bar
