From manila, buendia station (LRT1) ride buses going to Sta. Cruz Laguna (Fare: 148.50), get off at Sta. Cruz town proper, ride a tricycle (Cost us 20/pax) to Sta. Cruz Market where the terminal of Majayjay jeepney are located (Majoda). Get off at Majayjay Terminal (Fare: 33.00). There you will have the final ride to Brgy. Taytay where the falls is located (Fare: 15)
*all fare are in PHP
From Manila, take the LTB bus (with terminal in EDSA, Pasay) or other buses in Buendia going to Sta. Cruz, Laguna. From Sta. Cruz, take a jeep (terminal is near the market) going to Majayjay. From Majayjay, take another jeep going to Taytay. I'm not sure if Taytay-bound jeeps are still limited up to 5 pm though. From the corner of the highway with the sign of Taytay Fall, take a tricycle, or if you're in the mood, hike to the place. You have to register with the Taytay Barangay before proceeding to te falls area.
It is very convenient to go to Taytay Falls nowadays because the roads have been paved, and there are big directional signs. If you still get confused along the way, the locals will be very ready to help you.
You might want to follow our route:
From SLEX, exit at Calamba and proceed to Sta. Cruz-Pagsanjan National Road. When you see Jollibee (that's BEFORE the Pagsanjan Arch), turn right towards Magdalena until you reach a fork. Turn to the sign that points to Majayjay (the other point goes to Liliw & Nagcarlan). When you reach the town of Majayjay, you will notice directional signs to Taytay Falls. When you reach the right side road of the Majayjay Church, turn left past the church when you see another sign. From then on, the signs and the locals will be your guides.
Not to worry; just enjoy the sights. The locals will be eager to point you to the next turn.
I think going to majayjay falls is better when you bring your car. It will take you around 4 hours or so if you use public transportation because it is very far and going through small town and narrow roads. From manila take SLEX and exit to batangas/lucena, from sto. tomas batangas take left turn going to san pablo, all roads are one-way straight. From san pablo town proper take left turn at the rotonda straight to liliw and to majayajay.
