Do you know that the koi helps keep the Nuvali lake water clean? Don't be surprised when you see hundreds of koi in the Nuvali lake. I have never seen so many koi in just one lake as in Nuvali.
The koi is a beautiful fish called by some as Japanese carp. It is an intelligent omnivorous fish that recognizes the person(s) feeding it, and remembers the feeding time. Nuvali involves the community in the pleasurable experience of feeding the koi. For a very minimal amount, you get a small plastic pack of koi feeds, and at feeding time (8:30am & 4:30pm), you can throw the feeds on the lake. Before you even drop the feeds, you'll see the koi gathering near you. It is such a thrill hearing the splashes and the sound of their mouth sipping the feeds. Young and old alike enjoy participating in the koi feeding activity. Others simply have fun watching the fish as they scamper for feeds.
Nuvali is an evolving new metropolis conceived by Ayala Land and the Yulo family. Just less than an hour drive from Makati (via Sta. Rosa Exit of the South Luzon Expressway), Nuvali covers a total land area of 1,600 hectares with 3 new residential communities (Abrio, Treveia, and Avida Settings). As part of the eco-friendly master plan for Nuvali, about 50 percent of these residential areas are devoted to open spaces.
The most sought after place by tourists are the commercial center and 4-hectare multi-functional lake at the Solenad/visitor's center.

part 2 of My enchanted kingdom tips with more pictures. Although this Theme Park is Pretty Decent in attractions, it comes short in the Ride Department since it has only 19 attractions and the area is very small, about 8 hectares only that is why it is not marketed as a tourist destination in the Philippines (unlike Sentosa Island in Singapore or Ocean World in Hongkong or Sunway Pyramid in Malaysia). Still, when you are used to just flea circuses in the past (like I was in my Childhood) and not exposed to Big Theme Parks like Disneyland, Great America, Ocean World, Everland, etc. , this Park will be very good.
Enchanted Kingdom, the VERY FIRST Philippine Theme and Amusement park opened in 1995 in the fast growing exurb of Santa Rosa City. Before that there were just small amusement centers located in Manila at Star City. Although Enchanted Kingdom is an Amusement Park which is World Class, it is very small in Comparison to other Amusement Parks in Asia (even smaller than Hongkong Disney, smaller than Ocean park and way Smaller than Sentosa Island). It only offers 19 attractions though.
