    To the MALL

by jayjayc Updated Feb 19, 2012

-Best practice when travelling is to buy a liter of mineral water / canned soda drinks to bring to your hotel since they are priced sky-high at the hotel
-Asked a local tricycle driver where to, he mentioned "to the MALL"
-Really surprised hearing there is a mall and really excited to see it
-Here comes the destination and think to saw the MALL, though not sure if it is where the driver pertains to
-NO JOKE; the mall is like a two 7-11 stores combined in size and it is the Masbate Mall
-The supermarket in the mall accepts credit card payments for a minimum purchase of Php100

-The mall is named LCC Supermarket and Department Store
-Many small booths inside sell easy-to-prepare food and a lottery outlet
-Department store is on the second level

    Internet Cafe

    by pres_16 Written Feb 29, 2008

Several net cafes have already opened in the city. However, one thing I find annoying is that these cafes are always full with noisy young students who are there only for the net games rather than do some research or study.

Bituon is our dialect for a star. So called because it faces an open space in the sky making it a good place for stargazing. However, this resort is a bit far from the city proper.

    Cottages are available for overnighters.

I am a Masbateño and my wife is from Cagayan de Oro, during her first time in Masbate I brought her near the pier entrance and we eat the barbecue squid (pusit) she likes it and everytime we visit Masbate it is one of the food she is looking for. Barbecue pusit is extra ordinary and we have experience it only in Masbate. Food are one thing a traveler must experience in the place being visited.
