Calapan City is the capital city of Oriental Mindoro which is the nearest island province to Metro Manila. It is only 1 hour and 20 minutes away from Batangas port via fast ferry service while for those who wish to bring their vehicles, there are roll-on-roll-off (roro) ferries and the trip lasts about 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 hours. The Port of Calapan serves as the Gateway of Oriental Mindoro. Upon arrival at Calapan port, travelers can take either, multicab, tricycle, or van service to any point of destination.

Fast Ferry (Supercat/2GO) going to Calapan City thru Batangas Pier Vice Versa:
Calapan City can be reached thru Supercat/2GO after paying Php350.00 roughly $7.50 for ticket and Terminal TIcket costing Php30.00 or $.75. Terminal ticket going to Batangas Pier is Php20.00 or $.45

    Batangas City to Calapan

by npamo Updated Mar 17, 2010

there are no buses going directly to Calapan City. unless you count the buses passing thru Calapan going to Iloilo and other provinces in the south. There are buses going to Batangas City where you can take the ro-ro or super cat going to Calapan City. Ro-ro costs less than 200 (about 2 hours) and the supercat (about 1 hour) is less than 300. Terminal fee costs 30 pesos

From Batangas City Port, you have two choices on what boat to ride to Calapan. One is Supercat, the luxury and fastest way (1 hour and 20 minutes), or RORO boat, which is 2 hours and 40 minutes travel time. If you are in a hurry and seeks luxury ride Supercat, about mere P50 more expensive than RORO. But if you want a touch of nature or get the feel of life in a third world country, try RORO! Windy, get the chance to view islands along the way.

    Supercat leaves Batangas Port 9:30am
RORO has an hourly trip i believe

The road Calapan - Puerto Galera

by StefanosS Updated Aug 3, 2007

There are still some parts of the road under construction, between Tamaraw Falls and Dulangan, with total dirtroad length of about 7km. The rest of the road is not perfect but in rather good condition - mainly concrete and some parts asphalt. Driving will take more than 1 hour, possibly 1.30'.
