Sabang ist the worst place in the Phillipines where I came to. U want to be ripped off from nearly everybody just because you are a toursit? You want be discriminated? Come 2 Sabang an get the hole experienced of Filipinos which not thinking of you like a human but a walking ATM. They nearly all higher the prices when u not a filipno. That is bad. I travelled the Phillipines so long and mosytof the locals are firendly. But not in Sabang. They can not. Why? Tyey just want your money. U want to experience friendly filipinos? Dont go to Sabang. Its th most expensive place in the phillipines, unbeliefable!
I know, the people here not all the same, but the most I met there are. Better u go to the province!

  • Big Apple: Sabang is not for kids.

by bucheonman Written Apr 25, 2011

In Sabang after hours, it gets a little lewd. In the daytime it is fine for kids but after hours, they might see things you don't want them to see. White Beach area is more popular for adults and for locals. Sabang is for men.

After most bars have already closed, Big Apple stays open. It can get a little rough sometimes. The go-go clubs have an open door as you walk past them. I saw a lady dancing on a pole as I walked by.

Coco Aroma is a nice place if you want raw live music. You can even jam with the band. There you can get away losing yourself for a moment because the crowd is sort of just going along with the fun... We loved the place when Toto was still the one doing the Bob Marley songs.... wonder where he is now.... Oh well, those were the good old days (Nov 2004 to April 2005)... We will surely go back when we have the chance. See you there !

A juice with a kick, Mindoro Sling it the Hottest drink in PG. The sweet concoction was created and popularized by Mikko, owner of Mikko’s Bar in White Beach, Puerto Galera. 1 small can Mango Nectar

  • brian's bar and restaurant: the best mindoro sling!

    brian's bar & restaurant
    1 more image

this establishment and the one beside it (when facing the bar, the one on brian's right) serve the best mindoro sling!

if you don't know what a mindoro sling is, it's a drink served only in puerto galera. so trying this is a must!

a whole pitcher costs around P300 ($6). but just a friendly warning, the drink is kinda deadly so you're better off sharing than finishing the pitcher all by yourself.

  • The Beach: Leave The Noisy Alone

by icoy Updated Mar 25, 2007

While everyone (well, almost everyone) is drinking, eating and (some) dancing, just stroll on the beach, find a good spot where there aren't too many people. Have your lady friend share her sarong with you, lying down on the sand. You can watch the stars and look out for falling ones. Too bad, the moon wasn't up.

You may also want to try out your night/ambient light photography.

Dress Code: Come as you are! But beach attire is preferred. :)

White Beach is also popular for their parties. As soon as sunset starts, the restaurant staff starts carrying out tables & chairs that they set up right on the beach. Be sure to haggle for the price though because there are some that increase their price during weekends.

    The infamous Mindoro Sling!
    1 more image

~~We went to the famous HIYAS BAR for 3 consecutive nights and I must say, their GAY GIRLS ROCK! They'll entertain and treat you like royalty. Don't forget to give them tips as I have interviewed them and you will not believe how small they earn. hehe. P 300 ($ 6) per pitcher of the infamous island drink and you are soo on your way to your drunken stir! 1 pitcher is enough for the 2 of us (we were both girls anyways, hehe). :) They also offer hard drinks and beers though.

Dress Code: Less is more. We are at the beach! :)

One of the livelier places in White Beach, the last time we were there. The guest relations people were really friendly and chatty. And boy, do they love to dance!

I would suggest their strawberry margarita and 'sex on d' beach'. Hehe. Also, please ask for 'Heart'. He's one of the prettiest servers they have. (I know the name's Heart but i referred to the person as a 'he' and not as 'she'. Gets? ^_^)

El Galleon Resort bar: Treetop bar

    Cool bar

There is a very old tree that you have to pass every time you cross over from Small Lalaguna Beach to Sabang Beach. El Galleon Resort has built this very cool bar right above this tree offering party goers and drinkers bird's eye view to the sea and some very cool breeze.

It's a wonderful bar with warm lightings and cool drinks. Music comes from a very cool Ipod!

Especially like the tree that grows out of the bar and dolphins swimming beneath it!
