Linugos, unquestionably and unequivocally, is off the beaten path and can be described therefore, by this traveler definitely, to be an incredible find. Hardly any tourists, foreign or local, ever set foot this way and this far. And surprisingly, the village is a mere half hour away from the provincial city of Gingoog. So, the entire place literally is off the beaten path. It takes no time at all to see everything there is to see in the village but be warned, the unmitigated hospitality of the locals will thoroughly slow down and delay your tour of the town, if not change your mind from leaving so soon. The village is ringed by beautiful hills and mountains which are grand diversions for one so keen on hikes.
