Luggage and bags: Pack and travel extra lightly. If possible, a good sturdy backpack would be practical and sufficient.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Take only very light clothing - preferrably cotton fabrics - shorts, light-coloured pants and shirts, a change of tee-sirts, a sun hat, a high SPF sun lotion/cream, refillable plastic water bottle, a pair of good walking sneakers, sandals, a towel (to double as beach towel), swimming trunk, googles, and a light weight rain parka.

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: A high SPF sun lotion/cream, a good herbal shampoo and conditioner against a water that is generally metallic and even slightly saline, an emollient body lotion, a bar of soap, mosquito spray and lotion and a sleeping net you could hung above and about your bed, a zinc oxide lip balm, dark sun glasses, a bottle of aspirin/tylenol, bandages, a presciption of anti-biotics, medicated easy strip bandages, anti-diarrhea pills, bacicetrin anti-biotic wound ointment, a pack of alka-seltzer tablets for over-all general discomfort. One can always pick up most of the above (tho not of same quality) from towns and cities.

Photo Equipment: A camera is a must. Bring a digital one to avoid packing up on films.

Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: A large beach towel which can also double as a regular shower towel.
