No need for malaria pills but take mosquito spray
Pack and travel extra lightly. If possible, a good sturdy backpack would be practical and sufficient. Take only very light clothing - preferrably cotton fabrics - shorts, light-coloured pants and shirts, a change of tee-sirts, a sun hat, a high SPF sun lotion/cream, refillable plastic water bottle, a pair of good walking sneakers, sandals, a towel (to double as beach towel), swimming trunk, googles, and a light weight rain parka. A high SPF sun lotion/cream, a good herbal shampoo and conditioner against a water that is generally metallic and even slightly saline, an emollient body lotion, a bar of soap, mosquito spray and lotion and a sleeping net you could hung above and about your bed, a zinc oxide lip balm, dark sun glasses, a bottle of aspirin/tylenol, bandages, a presciption of anti-biotics, medicated easy strip bandages, anti-diarrhea pills, bacicetrin anti-biotic wound ointment,...
