Lounge chair

If you grow tired of underwater adventures like diving and snorkeling, the resort got very inviting lounge chair outside, and inside the recreation area.

Sunbath all day and no frisky vendors that will disturb you. Great way to get a perfect tan.

The resort got international books to choose from, mostly German books, reading a book is another thing to do to pass time..

Apo Island is a protected area, declared by the Philippine government.

Upon arrival at the island it is a must to visit the Office of the Apo Island Protected Landscape /Seascape.

-One time entrance fee of 100 pesos per person.
-For snorkeling at the marine sanctuary, a fee of 50 pesos per day
-For diving, no additional fee, as its being paid for already by the dive centers.

Ms Babiera is the cashier on this kiosk, you should only pay to her and an Official Receipt will be issued to you..

Dont worry your entrance fees will be used for the salary of 20 locals that patrol the ocean to prevent illegal fishing and destructions on the sanctuaries..

Drift diving in a shoal of Jacks!

Shoal of Big Eyed Jacks

It's simply amazing! When you're doing the drift dive at the Cogon point you're pretty sure to pass through a shoal of 2500+ Big Eyed Jacks - pretty big fish - approx 50 cm. And they are'nt afraid of you so they get REALLY close. I can't describe it - you have to see for yourself!
It's a lot better than sleeping or fleeing sharks - they're so boring... ;o)
