Any Samareno celebration is not complete without the famous native lechon. The lechon here is different than the commercial kind you find in the city as this is tastier and leaner, really finger-lickin' good. Lechon sauce is optional.
Muron on the other hand, (pictured far right) is a native delicacy of ground rice flour with chocolate at the center wrapped in banana leaf and steamed, ummm, good!

As in any other seaport where inter-island passenger ferries dock, small boats by the water crowding just beside the ferry are a sight. These boats carry boys and girls in their teens asking ferry passengers to throw coins in the water and them diving and collecting the coins. No matter how hard you throw or throw it a little bit far, they still get it. Amusing for city-bred tourists. I just hope they dont derive happiness seeing others having a hard time.
