Along the national highway just before going up to Dalton Pass is the last town of Nueva Vizcaya >> Sta. Fe. The cluster of souvenir shops on both sides of the road won't escape the traveller's eyes. The place is a good rest stop and might as well food stop. While taking a time out after that great food binge, why not browse the souvenir shops for something that might interest you
What to buy: Novo Vizcayanos are great craftsmen. Local crafts that are made of rattan, bamboo or local hardwoods are in display. Rocking chairs, rattan baskets, laundry baskets, hammocks >> you name it, anything that can be crafted from rattan and bamboo. Plus sculptured hardwoods >> home thingy.
What to pay: When buying, haggling is still the name of the game being a stranger to the place. The price should be competetively low considering the big number of shops selling almost the same goods.
