Along the national highway just before going up to Dalton Pass is the last town of Nueva Vizcaya >> Sta. Fe. The cluster of souvenir shops on both sides of the road won't escape the traveller's eyes. The place is a good rest stop and might as well food stop. While taking a time out after that great food binge, why not browse the souvenir shops for something that might interest you Novo Vizcayanos are great craftsmen. Local crafts that are made of rattan, bamboo or local hardwoods are in display. Rocking chairs, rattan baskets, laundry baskets, hammocks >> you name it, anything that can be crafted from rattan and bamboo. Plus sculptured hardwoods >> home thingy. When buying, haggling is still the name of the game being a stranger to the place. The price should be competetively low considering the big number of shops selling almost the same goods.
