Dalton Pass - "Loooooong and Winding Road"
The road to Nueva Vizcaya, particularly at the Dalton Pass border is winding and carved at the steep side of the mountain. Basically, driving through this passage takes longer than it should be by the fact that the road is a tight 2-lane 2-way and it's winding << tough! Imagine a lot of heavy trucks navigating the steep winding road at an understandably slow pace which traps the should-be-faster passenger vehicles that could not make overtaking maneuvers easily. Rule of the thumb is >> it takes twice the time than it should be to navigate safely through this passage. Take your time.Dalton Pass should be driven seriously and with patience. Double the patience and seriousness come foggy night time. A very accident-prone area.
