Bring A Water Proof Camera or Smarphone

by machomikemd Written Mar 18, 2015

Photo Equipment: since water proof cameras are now very cheap, we always make a point of bringing waterproof cameras to take pictures and videos of our swimming travels whether on the beach, scuba diving, swimming pool, waterpark or what have you. also there are now waterproof camera cases available for smart phones like otter or life proof which you can take with you up to depths of 2 meters (6 feet) and also the Dry Dock Tough waterproof and well sealed plastic case for smart phones and tablets and you can submerged your gadgets up to 10 meters (33 feet) with these dry dock gizmos.

Bring Light Colored Clothes and Flip Flops

by machomikemd Written Mar 18, 2015

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: The Philippines is a tropical country and Busuanga and Huma Island Resort is included with just two seasons, the summer season and rainy seasons and since the area is humid, I would suggest you just bring T-Shirts more so the light colored ones as to somewhat deflect the heat instead of the dark colored ones which absorb heat when going to Huma Island. Also Bring walking shorts or cargo shorts so that you will be more comfortable and not feeling heavy when walking around as you don't need jeans or slacks as you are in a tropical island paradaise after all!

Also Bring a small umbrella (portable one) or a water repellent jacket for the sudden rain showers during summer time so that you would not feel drenched and sun block too if you don't want to get a tan or be sunburned while walking around the humid heat. Lastly, don't forget carrying sun glasses and a baseball cap too.

    Bring Sun Block

by machomikemd Written Mar 18, 2015

Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: off course the main reason to go to Busuanga for me is to go to Huma Island Resort and secondly to have an Island Hopping Day tour of Coron and the Nearby Islands and the being a tropical area, you will easily get sun burned by just snorkelling and swimming and it is best to have a sun block lotion handy to put on your face and body and extremities to avoid sun burn and if you happen to forget to bring sunblock lotion, then no problem as the main souvenir shop of Huma Island sell various Items like sun block, beach hat, towels and more to guest albeit at a more expensive price.

    Must Bring!

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Luggage and bags: Backpacking is the best way to go.. This will assure fast and easy movement.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Wear light clothing as it is very warm and you will spend most of your days on the sea. Don't forget your swim suits and wear rash guard if possible to avoid too much sun exposure. Wear hat/cap to protect your face. And most important, bring lots of sunblock, apply and reapply as much as possible. The sun is scorching hot! :)
Wear comfortable footwear.. those with velco straps are more advisable that slippers.

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Bring insect repellant for mosquitoes are plenty especially at night time. Bring band aids for emergency purposes.

Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: Although snorkeling gears are provided, bring your own snorkling gear if you are not comfortable with borrowing.
