Busuanga Restaurants

I normally surf for the local best when visiting a place. Bistro Coron was one of the recommended place to eat in Coron. I was very disappointed with the menu and the service.

Ordered their house specialty - Beef Bourguignon. It was a one plate meal served with rice. The beef sauce was passable for the french dish but what turned me off was the presence of about 1 heaping tablespoon of whole peppercorns. Considering the beef serving was just about half a cup, the peppercorns was way too much.

There was just 2 patrons in the whole restaurant and that already included our table. The waitress behaved like she did not understand Tagalog (sometimes called Pilipino) and looked very unenthusiastic when coming to our table. It was like we owe her by patronizing their restaurant.

The restaurant was also infested with many flies because some parts were al fresco. But what appalled me was their attitude of not caring if patrons were swatting flies left and right. A candle to ward off flies would have been SOP.

I dont recommend this restaurant and would gladly state why.
