It is my first destination in the Coron Island tour, a few minutes away from Coron Town. The Siete Pecados is a cluster of 7 islets. It literally means “seven sins” (I don’ know why). Our boatman told me that, it is the punishment of the seven sisters who went swimming against their parent’s will. They were drowned and eventually seven small islands sprouted from the sea.
Whatever the story they have about the place, one thing I am very sure of is its richness in marine life. It is the best I have seen in Coron so far. Sometimes there is poor visibility because of heavy rain or absence of water current that should wash away the blurry water but I’m lucky.
Be careful on sea urchins though I saw plenty of them waiting for your feet to touch their thorns.
The fee for this sea attraction is 100 pesos.
Siete Pecados or Seven Peaks, is the area near the entrance of the Coron bay where ships docking to Coron passes by. Its called Siete Pecados as there are small rocks or islets scattered near the place, 7 all in all. Its one of the protected area in Coron which is promoted for diving and snorkeling as it has wonderful coral formations and lots and lots of fishes.
