    The Shallowest Boat Wreck

by machomikemd Written Mar 14, 2015

Coron and the Calamianes Islands are known for it's wonderful corals and for wreck diving for many sunken ships, mostly japanese ships sunked from world war two and there are located in several areas in and around Coron Island and the Other Islands of Busuanga, Culion and other Calamianes Islands, But the Most famous for non scuba divers and tourist will be the skeleton wreck. The Skeleton wreck is the shallowest of the ship wrecks around coron and the top most portion of this ship wreck is just 5 meters (16 feet) from the surface that you can take pictures of the wreck by just using your water proof camera while snorkelling on top of it beside your boat. located along Coron Bay near Coron Island.

We headed to this destination after Banol beach. It is our last stop on our Coron Island Tour. It is one of the Japanese ship that was sunken by US planes. It is in an inclined position. You can only see the front portion because the rest is on the deepest part. It is deep so you need to have snorkeling gear to see clearly lots of fish swimming around the wreck.
    The entrance fee is P100.00.

    Skeleton Wreck- Wreck Diving

Skeleton Wreck is one of the shallowest ship wreck site in Coron. You can visibly see the wreck from the surface of the water. The place is also rich in coral gardens with lots of fishes so its one of the best snorkeling locations in Coron. It has a small white sand beach with crude resting facilities where you can rest or take your break. Though the boats cannot go near the beach as corals abound few meters from the beach front.
