Don't book in a resort for 4 nights
It's not difficult to find a resort in Coron, unless you arrived on a Saturday. A Manila-Busuanga ferry arrives early Saturday morning bringing in a considerable number of local tourists. Some resorts will demand a prepayment of at least 50% or equivalent to two nights if you plan to stay there for 4 nights. Initially you are willing to take a 10minutes tricycle ride to the pier and hire a banca to reach secluded beaches & wrecks. But after a whole day of island hopping you are too tired to walk and look for a tricycle. The worse thing is that there is no electricity and you cannot use the a/c and they are not willing to give you a discount. You have no choice but to stay there for another night and hope that there will be electricity.
Fun Alternatives: Buy a Palawan map, listed here are the resorts, restaurants and attractions. Initially get a fan room, if the heat is unbearable you can transfer to an a/c room.

Heard from another thread swedish guy patrick does not provide enough life jackets for the tourist.
Unique Suggestions: Text coast guard in the area in case your tour provider does not have enough life jackets for everybody - 0920-956-1435 or inform the Municipal Tourism Office 0919-474-8262.
Fun Alternatives: Try the Calamian Tour at www.corongaleri.com.ph
If traveling on an off-peak season, it's best to just go there and rent a boat by the pier beside the marketplace. Online tour packages, as well as those offered in your resort/hotel, are most likely over prized. We booked a package for 10 online, but when we got there and inquired with the boatsmen on the pier, their offer is much less and we could have even bargained. Of course, i wouldn't risk it on the peak season like summer.
