Going somewhere? Hail a tricycle...

by semper.max

The tricycle is a motorcycle fitted with a sidecar. Most of the provincial towns and cities in the Philippines uses this as the main means of transportation in and around the vicinity. There are so many variants though and the one in Pangasinan is more of the usual 4 seater. A person can sit behind the driver. Two can seat inside the sidecar facing front while there is another makeshift seat on the right hand side of the tricycle cab facing the door. It may prove to be cramped inside the cab hence my favorite seat is behind the trike driver.

Bus Ride!

by mastercooks

If you are going to Pangasinan from Manila there is a bus Terminal in Pasay and Cubao, the two main bus lines operating in Pangasinan from Manila are Five Star Bus and Victory Liner, you could choose from either aircon or ordinary fare but for a long ride to Pangasinan I would suggest to take an aircon bus for comfort if budget is not an issue.

North Luzon Expressway

by DarleneCMF

Take the North Luzon Expressway from Quezon City, to Pangasinan. You need to pay P42 toll fee upon entering the expressway and P201 at the Dau exit (final exit). The NLE has been improved a lot from what I remember. There are a lot of gasoline stations along the way, with restaurants, restrooms in the vicinity.

Filipino Transportation

by jvsabas

The beach along Lingayen Gulf was busy with activity. It's apparently used as a road. Note the very Filipino modes of transportation: the "Tricycle," "Jeepney," and "Banca." I was preparing to take a picture of the boat and tricycle when the jeepney happened along.
