Beerology: Cocktails & Beers Food Truck

by machomikemd Updated Aug 9, 2014

Favorite thing: one of the members of the burgeoning food truck business in the Philippines and is part of the Foodtruck.PH group is the Beerology, it is a food truck but they also have a mini bar set up along the main dining area of the food trucks of which you can order international selections of Beers and Craft Beers and also local craft beers and a large assortment of cocktail mixes and the international beers and the craft beers are way cheaper than in the bars and lounges.

International beers like Sam Adams, Blue Moon, Chimay, Hoogarden, Heineken, local craft beers like Liberation and Summer Session (international beers cost from 120 to 200 pesos and the local craft beers at 190 pesos). assorted cocktail mixes like Mai Tai, Tequila Sunrise, Cosmopolitan, Tom Collins and a lot more.

they go once or twice a year at Filinvest Tent, for their current location, see their twitter and facebook page below.
for the bar chow, just order at their member food trucks on whatever you fancy as bar chow.

Fondest memory: according to their facebook page:

The Art of Drinking Finely Brewed Imported and Craft Beers from All Over the World!

    Description

Beerology is the art of drinking finely brewed imported and craft beers from all over the world. We carry most of the popular brands of beers from well-known breweries in Germany, Belgium, The Netherlands, Czech Republic, USA and more. We also have hard to find, one of a kind brands.

Beerology was created and established by a group of passionate beer advocates last 14 December 2013. The concept is very similar to the POP-UP craze taking over the Metro.

OUR GOAL is simple, we want you to experience and enjoy the best brews without breaking the bank!

Be BOLD, Be EXPERIMENTAL...BEcome a BEEROLOGIST!

Seasonal Food Trucks at Filinvest Tent

by machomikemd Updated Aug 8, 2014

    1.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Favorite thing: Food Trucks are starting to get recognized in the Philippines as it is becoming more than a novelty. Filipinos are used to the local"carinderia" type of fast food (like a cafeteria where many meals are placed in containers and you order the food of which food quality and consistency can be spotty) which are in fixed locations, the local food trucks are positioning their trade as a souped up carinderia serving up quality food and consistency at competitive prices and international flavors to boot!

There is a local food truck group called the Food Truck.PH , composed of local food truckers serving various local and international food that goes on monthly to quarterly tours of different venues along the Metropolitan Manila Area to introduce to more filipinos the concept of Food Trucks. Their jaunt at the Southern Metropolitan Area is at the Filinvest Tent in Filinvest City in Alabang, Muntinlupa, of which they go back once or twice a year.

Address: Filinvest Tent, Commerce Avenue Cor. Spectrum Midway, Filinvest City, Alabang, Muntinlupa City, 1781, Metro Manila
    Phone: +63 (2) 551-5506 | 850-3517
    Website: http://www.filinvesttent.com/

Fondest memory: If you are interested to see and eat meals on a food truck in the Philippines, you can go at filinvest tent if they are there or follow them at facebook to know where they are located at present.

    Special Treatment For Senior Citizens

by cyndymc Updated Jun 20, 2010

Favorite thing: Food trips and watching movies at Alabang Town Center and Festival Mall are our usual bonding momentss with our eldest daughter and grandson. Our favorite restaurants are Tony Roma's, Italliani's, North Park and Racks. Though the cinemas are small, we enjoy watching movies at ATC & Festival Mall because of their hustle-free reserved seats system.

When my hubby got his Senior Citizen's Card, he began enjoying discounts in the restaurants and movies, even supermarkets.

Fondest memory: Hubby is most delighted at Festival Mall's discount to movie-watching senior citizens, the biggest discount in Alabang: 50%!

Another nice gesture we can't forget was when we ate recently at Tony Roma's. My daughter has a Tony Roma's discount card, but on top of her discount for the total bill, the restaurant still honored hubby's Senior Citizen's Card and gave another discount on the total amount in the bill. Other restaurants give discounts only on the senior citizen's food.
