TGI Friday's: A Famous Nite Spot too

TGI Fridays has separate areas for dining and some drinking action (they also have a separate enclosed smoking area). this tip will be at the Bar area of the restaurant. The Bar area is located in the huge complex and is near the entrance, the ambiance here is more mature but you have the same menu and drink lists as in the main dining area but they have a big bar where there are lcd screens playing various sports channels.

They have an extensive collection of Cocktails and beers and the selections are similar in the US Mainland but the prices are slighly cheaper here. A Big Glass of my favorite Ultimate Long Island Iced Tea Cocktail will cost 295 pesos, regular glass will be 180 pesos. Other cocktails like pina colada at 190 pesos for a regular glass and 300 pesos for an ulitmate glass. Local Beers costs 100 pesos an order and foreign beers at 180 pesos and up.

Opens: 10:00 am to 1:00 am on weekends
10:00 am to 11:00 pm on weekdays

TGIFridays is popular American restaurant chain focusing on casual dining, usually of the typical american huge servings, with over 500 restaurants across the United States, Canada, Mexico, Australia and the UK, as well as many other countries around the world including here in the philippines. The name is taken from the expression "TGIF", or "Thank God It's Friday." The restaurant chain is known for its appearance, with red-striped canopies, brass railings, Tiffany lamps, and frequent use of antiques as decor. It has a large menu with an emphasis on alcoholic beverages. A section of their menu is dedicated to the "Jack Daniel's Grill", a selection of items flavored with a special Jack Daniel's sauce.

ATC Cinema

Watching movies is one way of bonding with the family. We enjoy watching movies while having popcorn or hotdogs ;-)

We prefer to go to the cinema at ATC because the moviehouses there are not so big; there is tight security; cleaners get all the trash after each screening so the place looks & smells clean; aircon is efficient.

I don't have much pictures because cameras are not allowed in the area.

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf at ATC

Many Filipinos now consider drinking coffee as an alternative to drinking beer or wine. They enjoy drinking coffee and/or iced blends to perk up those sleepy eyes. Yuppies (young professionals) usually hang out at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf in Alabang Town Center where they can exchange stories, smoke and have coffee al fresco or work on their laptop (free wifi) inside the non-smoking airconditioned area.

A Friendly Night Cap!

Another Favorite hang out of the Night Owls in Filinvest, Alabang is the Caltex Gas Station in Northgate Avenue since it has a 24 hour convenience store and Coffe Shop, they have excellent coffee brews like Latte, Mochachino, Cappucino, Americano and the works! and the price is less than starbucks. A Cup is only 70 pesos so many people go here for a nightcap of coffee before going home. Only problem is that it has no free Wi-Fi.

20/20 Bar Bellevue Hotel: Top of the World

The name 20/20 Bar of the Bellevue Hotel is very appropriate, as the bar is located at the 20th floor of the said hotel.

None of the bars in the Alabang area can beat their happy hour promo at P270++ from 5 to 8:30 p.m., drink all you can (San Miguel beer and other mixed drinks).

Imagine having a perfect sunset view of the area from the 20th floor of a classy hotel with a cold brew in your hand without having to sweat it out from the Manila heat.

The parking is free and their staff is one of the best looking set in Metro Manila!

Aplaya: Tropical Bar in Alabang
robertpinoy profile photo

2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

robertpinoy 6 reviews

"Aplaya" means seaside in local dialect. Thus, the theme is very tropical, with surfboards, white sand, shells and the like adorning the whole place. It is located at the new al fresco food wing of Filinivest Mall called Greens and Grills right outside the National bookstore. The food is typically "pinoy" but on the Visayan side, as the owner is Ilonggo. Food price ranges from P100 to about P300 for the crispy pata, good old San Miguel Beer is at P30 with a reverse happy hour from midnight to 5 a.m., good music, from OPM, Bossa Nova, Jazz, Chillout House, R&B and good old 80's music, nothing loud from Sunday to Thursday, with in-house DJs on Fridays and Saturdays.

A nice place to chillout because the market is not the rowdy type, people just mind their own business. Good personal service from the staff.

Mind you, the place gets full at around 6-7p.m., so get there early!

Dress Code: Typical Alabang dress code, shorts and flip-flops!
