Wishing star, wishing well, but...wishing pond? Yes, although the indoor garden waterfalls and pond at the ground floor of Festival Supermall wasn't intended to be that, word got around that someone (who tossed a coin at the pond and made a wish) had his wish granted. Now, with many wanting their wishes granted, the pond is now full of coins!

Yes, Filipino spirituality is so strong that even at the malls, they stop to pray. At Festival Supermall, they have religious icons set up at strategic places where shoppers can easily see them. Upon seeing them, shoppers pause for a while to pray, then drop prayer intentions and donations at specified boxes.

Alabang Favorites

Favorite thing: Food trips and watching movies at Alabang Town Center and Festival Mall are our usual bonding momentss with our eldest daughter and grandson. Our favorite restaurants are Tony Roma's, Italliani's, North Park and Racks. Though the cinemas are small, we enjoy watching movies at ATC & Festival Mall because of their hustle-free reserved seats system.

When my hubby got his Senior Citizen's Card, he began enjoying discounts in the restaurants and movies, even supermarkets.

Fondest memory: Hubby is most delighted at Festival Mall's discount to movie-watching senior citizens, the biggest discount in Alabang: 50%!

Another nice gesture we can't forget was when we ate recently at Tony Roma's. My daughter has a Tony Roma's discount card, but on top of her discount for the total bill, the restaurant still honored hubby's Senior Citizen's Card and gave another discount on the total amount in the bill. Other restaurants give discounts only on the senior citizen's food.
