Greenhills Commercial Complex: Main Budget Shopping area of Manila

by machomikemd Written Nov 5, 2013

Divisoria Area of the City of Manils is the main Budget Shopping Area of Metro Manila, but for more convenience and shopping in Air Conditioned Glory, the main budget shopping area of the Middle Class is the Greehills Commercial Complex in San Juan Town. Greenhills Shopping Center in Manila is a tiangge (tent like or Hawker's Center) style shopping mall located in San Juan region of Metro Manila. Bounded by Ortigas Avenue on the west, Connecticut Street on the south, Club Filipino and Annapolis Street on the north and Missouri Street on the east, this shopping center contains many malls, entertainment and dining outlets.

What to buy: Greenhills is a shopping paradise. Clothes, shoes, native souvenirs, computers, cell phones, knock-off designer bags and wallets, toys, children's apparel, Iphone Jailbreak devices, Cheap Smartphones, Computer Porgrams, South Sea Pearls and Jewellries and a lot more. it is like the Pratunam area of Bangkok.

500 pesos for a counterfeit ralph lauren jeans, 800 pesos for fake nike shoes, 150-200 pesos for fake perfumes like davidoff or calvin klein, 600 pesos for anne klein "loft" women's polo shirt (export overrun hence original), 800 pesos for ralph lauren polo shirts (again export overrun). 600 pesos for silk bags and a lot more

What to pay: depends on your haggling skills

V-Mall: The Luxe Part of Greenhills Complex

by machomikemd Written Nov 5, 2013

The V-mall was started in December 2005 and since then attracts a horde of shoppers from around the capital region. The Greenhills Shopping Center Complex occupies 16 hectares along Ortigas Avenue, of which V-Mall accounts for 20,000 square meters. Totally redesigned to make it more convenient for shoppers to go around, V-mall boasts of a wider area as the escalators have been relocated to the sides instead of its old location at the middle of the mall. It also features a scenic elevator that allows shoppers to see the whole area on their way to the top levels. V-mall sports a new look with five attractions from the SM group that include the successful Toy Kingdom chain, SM Appliance Center, Our Home, Watson's, and Ace Hardware.

What to buy: If you were a Shopper like me, you would buy an original Rolex Watch at Chronos (xxxxx price hehe), counterfeit Rolex available at Tiannge for 2,500 pesos (Triple AAA they say) .Shops here are for the High end Market unlike in Shoppesville or in the Main Complex where there are "tiangge's", none are here since this Newly Refurbished area is designed to compete with other Glitzy Shops in Manila like the Powerplant Mall, Glorietta, Greenbelt, Bonifacio High Street, Robinson's Place, Trinoma.

What to pay: depends on what you buy

Maristella Fine Jewelry: Fine Jewelry in Manila

by iclee Written Feb 17, 2010

Richie owns Maristella Jewelry. She has been my jeweler since 1998. I usually bring my own precious stones and design. They are very good in executing my designs at the price I am comfortable with. They also accept trade in of gold. I suggest you bring your old and/or broken jewelry and trade it in.

Fast and reliable service. What is standard k is truly standard.

You can also choose from her wide array of ready made jewelry or do what I do (design my own).

Look for Richie or Rizza and tell them I referred you. Or buzz me and I'll flag them that you are going there.

What to buy: 14k, 18k jewelry in white or yellow gold.

What to pay: Depends on design.

    Asnawie: The lure of pearls

by iclee Updated Feb 17, 2010

Asnawie Gems in Greenhills Shopping Center - Jewelry area near Unimart.

Look for Ashley because she is honest and gives a fair price. Tell her "Irene" referred you or better yet contact me so I can buzz her you are going to her. Her shop location changes periodically because they are placed "bazaar style". But do not worry because I have been her customer for years now and she is always reliable.

You can also find precious loose gems in her shop. :)

What to buy: South Sea Pearls, rubies, sapphires, diamonds, etc.

Mossainite, swiss and CZ also available.

What to pay: Bought this excellent quality south sea pearl from her and I paid PHP36000 (U$1=PHP46)for the pair. Price depends on pearl quality, color, luster and of course size.
