If you enjoy wild parties and loud blaring music, don't come here. If you like nothing more than the sound of crashing waves as your background, this is the place for you. Bring lots of beer (or whatever your preferred alcoholic beverage is) since you are in for a long night of hopefully intelligent and quiet conversations by the beachfront.
Dress Code: Come as you are! Beach shorts and flip flops preferred! No speedos please!Related to:

Glan Warnings and Dangers
While Glan has been peaceful for a long time now, it had a colorful past. It's accessibility to more dangerous parts of Mindanao once made it relatively dangerous. Some remnants of this can be seen in the fact that security guards in the resorts typically carry long arms (i.e. shotguns, M16 automatic assuault rifle and even an ancient M1 Garand rifle). Growing up in a military family and having lived inside a military camp for almost 20 years, I was used to being around people with guns so it really did not bother me. For the more conservative travelers, be forewarned.
Favorite thing: If you've been to Boracay and wish the island was kept underdeveloped, Glan is perfect for you! It's like Bora 30 years ago.
Fondest memory: Glan is close enough from GenSan (50 minutes drive) and has a beach that can rival Bora sans the huge crowds and the loud music.Related to:
