Lake Sebu is a town located 3000 above sea level. It has three lakes Lake Sebu, Lake Lahit and Lake Seloton. Lake Sebu the biggest lake is 564 hectares. 60% of inhabitanrs are native called T'bolis. These are gentle and peaceful farmers. They are artisans makers of bead works, the famous native cloth called t'nalak and brass metal figurines.

    NOW THE FABULOUS WATERFALLS
The water in the lakes flows in a river. along the river you will find 7 water falls the highest being over 200 feet. Only about two have been explored. An exploration of the seven falls ala Indiana jones would be such a fabulous experience. You practically have to make your own path through the trees and vegetation. The falls were beautiful the water pristine and the area has virginal in beauty such beauty good for the movies. The trek would take only a day. The place is peaceful. My family has been in the place since 1948 I could guarantee your safety.

    Hiking

    Mountain Hiking

Adventure seekers can enjoy hiking up the hills of Lake Sebu Mountains. I’ve tried it along with my relatives, just a short hike. Despite the cold breeze, I was still perspiring. It’s a good walk inside the woods.

    The Seven Falls

by Malakawon Written Jun 19, 2010

Apart from the lakes, there are 7 falls in Lake Sebu. Only two are accessible. But we only made it to the first and biggest one. They told us that the water from here are coming from the lakes. Its a raging. Aside from the tourist, there are locals fishing for tilapia in the nearby river. So you will never be alone in the 1st falls.

The 2nd falls , you need to go down a bit more to the jungle below. We already has a glimpse of it from above. We were happy with that already.

Usually you have to go up to visit falls. In Lake Sebu, you have to go down the slopes to see the falls. Now the hard part is, going back up.

    Banca Ride

    by saggi0519 Updated Apr 3, 2010

If there's only one thing you can do here in Lake Sebu, you must take a banca ride. Explore the Lake! Merge yourself in between that placid natural lake and feast your eyes on those very tropical nipa huts along the shore.

    Meditation

    by saggi0519 Updated Feb 23, 2010

The serenity of the location makes Lake Sebu a perfect place to do some mind exercise. It’s relatively easy to find your own quiet spot, reflect on the pristine lake, feel the air of the cool mountain breeze and listen to the sweet hum of the birds. Lake Sebu possesses good energy vibes according to some feng shui experts.

    Going Down..

It is indeed an experience to climb the top of the mountain opposite Falls No. 2. I was just surprise that at my age, I was able to compete with the younger ones climbing the top without really panting.

    Lake Sebu

Boating is a must do if you are in Lake Sebu. We really enjoyed the ride. The tour took us around the vicinity of the lake. The view is so spectacular and we just keep on clicking our cameras. Everything around us is so cool and green. It's definitely one of the most beautiful lake I've been to. This huge lake is surrounded by rolling hills and waterfalls and is regarded by local tribemen as a miraculous body of water that never dries up. The boat rental with guide costs P300 only good for 10 people. I really recommend this enchanting lake this side of Mindanao.

    Lake Sebu

We had a grand time touring around Lake Sebu. It's quite a huge body of water. It was so scenic and beautiful with mountains as backdrop. You can really relax in this place coz it's so serene and tranquil good for meditation. The breeze is cool, the surrounding is green and it's such a visual delight. After the lake tour, you can buy some things at the souvenir shop, selling items such as shirts with Lake Sebu prints, some T'Boli art and crafts etc...
If you want to stay for the night, there are resorts that offer accomodation along the lakeshore.
