    Limasawa: Beach house and more!

by normanlambot Written Feb 16, 2009

With 255 meters of beach front, you can relax very well at a beach house located in Dakdak, Limasawa, Southern Leyte, Philippines.

Enjoy the sun and the beach right in front or you can hire a boat (300-400pesos) so you can go around the island and do village hopping as well as snorkeling or you can even bring your scuba gears with you and dive some of the most amazing dive sites in the Philippines. Snorkeling is really good, too. If you just want to lie on the beach, there are so many virgin beaches around the island!

Visit the marker of the First ever Catholic mass in Asia in the village of Magallanes, view the majestic sunrise on the east side of the island (Magallanes or Lugsongan) between 5 and 6 am or the equally spectacular sunset on the west side (Triana or San Bernardo), visit a hill in the village of San Agustin to see the giant clam shells or to go caving! Also in San Agustin, you can find some coastal springs, peculiarly-shaped coral boulders, and pristine coral sand beaches! Bike along Lugsongan, Magallanes, Triana, San Bernardo, or even San Agustin. Between November and April (peaking in February-March), you may also take a boat to do whalesharks watching (and swim with them if you want). Hike around the island or walk along trails to reach some summits for a breath-taking view!

In the evening, hire any of the old massage ladies to try hilot (the traditional philippine massage) to relax yourself so you can slumber like a baby afterwards. Just ask the locals who you can hire.

Come on over and relax for a few days or even a week!
