Scuba Diving in Southern Leyte

Southern Leyte has some of the most diverse and pristine reefs in the whole of the Philippines. There are three or four dive operators located near Padre Burgos who can organise dives around Sogod bay, Tangka'an, and Limasawa. From reef walls covered in gorgonian fans to coral gardens there is something in SOuthern Leyte to keep all divers interested. Turtles are frequently seen as are banded sea snake and the sheer diversity of reef fish has to be seen. The Phillipines has a high level of marine biodiversity and there are over 300 coral species in Southern Leyte alone. Diving in the region is inexpensive and still developing.
