We were so thirsty after the travel and trek to and from Mt. Pinatubo. Immediately after we have freshened up, we headed for the Spa Restaurant to have some fruit shake or cold drinks. Since their fruit shake (which by the way is only banana shake; no other choice) was not available, we ordered Coke Zero and Sprite in cans. Service was so slow, it took about 20 minutes for them to serve us. When we were about to finish our drinks, we were surprised to know that they cost almost the same as colas in can at Tony Roma's.
Unique Suggestions: I'm afraid you just have to bear it... We were sooo thirsty, we just enjoyed our drink to the last drop. We even enjoyed munching on the ice cubes ^_^
Fun Alternatives: Before going straight to the Spa Restaurant, look around the vicinity for other places where you can buy cheaper cold softdrinks. Some of our companions discovered a small store across the spa selling bottled softdrinks, "halo-halo" and barbecued hotdogs...
I think the best alternative is to bring a coleman full of ice, water, juice or softdrinks. You can leave the coleman at your car/van and just get your drinks after you return.
This road is a little known to other people, lightly used, but now passable road to and from Angeles- Porac, Pampanga- Dinalupihan, Bataan for time saving shortcut for vehicle. It can cut from 30- 45 minutes of driving time, by avoiding traffic plagued areas in San Fernando, Bacolor, Guagua and Lubao roads. There is only one problem ?coz your going to see the Lahar field that washed out a lot of places around Pampanga town.
