Photo Equipment: try to use the smaller cameras. the goal is to keep both hands free as much as possible so a DSLR will not be much of an advantage to you.
Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: slather on sunblock generously.
bring a swimsuit because the crater water is VERY tempting.
bring enough trail water and some trail food for yourself.

Make sure you eat your breakfast before the climb!
