This is an isolated cove with white sand beach stretching for about a kilometer long in the Province of Zambales. To get here you either take a 30minute (small - 4 people only) banca ride or trek up the mountains.Crystal clear water, perfect for swimming and amazing view of the sunset - if weather permits. No facilities just a water pump so you bring your own drinking water, food, tent, fuel, etc. Perfect adventure getaway!!! You could also hike explore the moutainside... there are a couple of nice waterfalls around.

Mt. Pinatubo, a World Heritage Site.
by birgitte
Since becoming a World Heritage Site, Mt. Pinatubo has attracted a lot of adventurers, all-terrain-vehicle enthusiasts, nature worshippers and tourists both local and foreign.I saw a picture once of the inside of the volcano and I must admit, it looks very tempting. Trekking involved as there are areas the 4 x 4s can't go in (some roads unpassable and some areas are considered sacred so pedestrian traffic only). The crater is now filled with clear blue water that looks endless in depth. Heard a great review of it from an Australian site. Shown in the picture is a postcard i bought from a bookstore. It shows ash and sand piles inside the volcano. To get an idea of how it was during the Pinatubo Eruption, at least in the neighboring provinces, please check out my travelogue titled Pinatubo eruption of 1991.

Its about 6 to 8 hours hike to the crater lake through a desert like terrain. Sand (lahar) actually everywhere. Its very hot! But then, it was all worth it!!!
