The place is still crowded and full even though it was already past 1pm when we arrived the place. Anyhow, they have al fresco dining but it was hot due to summer season.

As recommended by my brother, we ordered the giant 22" Big Ben pizza. This is the biggest pizza I have ever seen. We also tried their Thai noodles and 2 pasta for lunch.

    Budget friendly restaurant. Good food.

I never had the chance to sneek inside the restaurant nor taste the famous coffee which is one of their item to be proud of.

    Favorite Dish: Crispy Thai noodles

Chowking is one of the famous chinese foodchain in the Philippines. They have various branches around the country. They serves breakfast, lunch & dinner. But what I love here in Chowking is thier "HALOHALO", sort of filipino dessert! YUMMY!

Halo-halo -from Tagalog word halo, "mix"- is a Filipino dessert that is a mixture of crushed ice and milk to which are added various boiled sweet beans and fruits, macapuno, leche plan, ube and served cold in a tall glass or bowl with ice cream on top.

There were many places in Subic with fresh seeafood, but the best meals i ate there were the mixed grill, which is prawns, steak and a really delicious sauce. Also, its not that expensive. I'd recommend trying it if you're ever there.

Meat Plus: Steak - the way you want it

by KookieDough Written Aug 20, 2006

My husband and I never have a trip to Subic without eating at Meat Plus. To get your choice of beef and have it cheaper than the usual steakhouses, we choose raw beef from the freezer. The beef portions are good enough for two so we just have it cut into two servings. Then we have it cooked the way we want it.

Xtremely Xpresso: More than just Coffee

by KookieDough Written May 9, 2006

This is a favorite eating and chill out venue for me and my husband whenever we take a vacation in Subic.

Coffee, though a bit strong, is good. Probably the best in the Subic area, even with the recent addition of a popular Australian coffee franchise right beside it.

The air is relaxed and cozy. We love having our main course inside the restaurant and enjoy coffee and dessert al fresco.

One reminder, though. Food takes a while to be served. Probably because it is served freshly cooked. But it is worth the wait.

Favorite Dish: Must try their pizza, particularly for the crust, which is crispy but filling enough.

In our recent visit there, we tried their California style pizza. It was also good. But I think their best bet is Big Ben, their house specialty - an overload of toppings! I also had Eskimocha which is a cold mocha dessert drink topped with whipped cream and chocolate syrup swirl.

Have also tried their other items. We liked the Oriental Salad with that delicious Asian dressing. Really perfect for summer. I liked the sauce of the spicy shrimp pasta, although the noodles were slightly overcooked. But, apart from that, it tasted good.

Try the pizza, tempura, fried rice and calamari's for Dinner with out rice. Im absolutely full, well, as we Philippines people do luv to eat rice. Break fast, lunch and dinner we do have rice in the table together with the dish. For that we are really full especially if the dish is like that and dessert with pizza. That sounds really yummy!...As american dont eat rice i mean they eat but not much as we like asian. This dinner might be good and okay for you!. Is friend rice for breakfast only? no i guess not!.. Eat it whatever time you want.

Favorite Dish: as im into pizza? their pizza is really good for me i dont know for others.. Their Tempura is cool too i mean teast good. Okay just hit the menu. if ever you have time to come in Pier 1.

3 nights before my birthday my sister and I are decided to have dinner in the restaurant but of course not to order much as we don’t have money to pay for.. Its already 10 in the evening after my school I went home and drove in Subic bay by taxi. We ordered 3 dishes and 3 plain rice, both are full and one of the dishes is been take out since we don’t eat there because we are full already. This seashore line restaurant had good Filipino dishes with a banana leaf. As we are the only people who are eating every waiter’ s are waiting of us to be done and so they can go home too.

Favorite Dish: We eat as usual rice of course, squid, grill fish ' tilapya ' , pork, and the best is their Sinigang Shrimps. As we luv this kind of Filipino foods....
