I love this place so much I enrolled for MS immediately after completing my BS degree. If you are in Quezon City, be sure to drop by the University of the Philippines campus. It's a breath of fresh air, especially if you're tired of the buildings and traffic.
Enter the campus from the Quezon Circle/Commonwealth side so you can go through the University Avenue and the Quezon Hall, where the famous Oblation (statue) is. You can also walk around the academic oval, under the shade, courtesy of the large trees forming a canopy over the path... There are food vendors all around the place so you don't have to worry about going hungry. :)

Chateau Verde is where you would go for fine dining and country/rustic ambience in UP Diliman. It's a relaxing place, with all foliage at the entrance, a mini-water fountain to one side, and a full-grown tree at the center.
They serve pasta, rice dishes, steaks, salads and wine. They have Saturday/Sunday lunch buffet costing P300 (grilled meat, salad, baked talaba), which is worth it if you consider what the regular prices are.
We ordered two pasta dishes, poached lapu-lapu and salad. Great food. :)

Good food, student price.
Lola Lita's canteen is right inside the Shopping Center in UP Diliman. If you're facing the building, enter froom the left side and the canteen will be on your right (I think it's the third one). This is a relatively new place, compared to Rodic's, but it can get packed during lunch and dinner time. Popular place because of the good instant food, you choose what you want to eat which can be a difficult choice, and the price is reasonably especially for students.
Favorite Dish: A lot! I think everything I've tried has been good. :)

It's called Beach House but there's really no beach. This canteen is inside UP Diliman, just behind the Main Library. The most popular food sold here is the pork barbecue, which is really tasty. I know a lot of UP graduates who still say the best barbecue they've tasted is from Beach House.
There's some other food, too: rellenong bangus, monggo, itlog na pula, torta, etc.
Favorite Dish: Pork barbecue

Treehouse Restaurant is situated inside the University of the Philippines - Diliman campus, just beside the ISSI building. It's al fresco dining, relaxing ambience.
The place can get busy during the lunch hour. It could take more than 30 minutes from the time you order to the time the food is served. Even the student meals (rice topping + drink at P50) take as long... So make sure you have time so you can really enjoy the place and food.
Favorite Dish:
Grilled tuna belly - succulent and savory. I don't know a lot of restaurants that serve grilled tuna so I was happy to know about this restaurant.

Traveling around the University of the Philippines in Diliman is very convenient. There are several jeepney routes that go inside the campus (Pantranco, Philcoa). Within the campus, there's the IKOT and TOKI jeepneys that just go around the campus.
