Show starts at 9:30 p.m.You can also eat dinner in the bar or in the Chinese restaurant fronting the bar. Nice place to spend Valentine's Day as they normally offer dinner with wine and a rose for the ladies.Parking space available.Check out the website for the schedule of live bands. No rubber sandals or sleeveless shirts for men.

Quattro Grill Bar and Restaurant: Affordable place with live band

by kemisteryoso

I will never forget this place because I went here many times with my friends. It is our favorite place because prices here are far cheaper than others in Timog Avenue. If you want to sing with a band you can go inside or just sit there an listen to loud music. But for us we prefer the area outside the band so that we can just talk and hear each other clearly. I can't count how many times we went here and until now it is our favorite in this area. I even celebrated my birthday here. They serve mucho mug of various kind of local beer that I though a pitcher before during my first visit. I like their "Tokwa'tBaboy (fried tofu and deep fried pork dip into soy sauce with onions and chili), the serving is quite big compared to other bars and for only P90.00. They serve variety of menus, drinks, cocktails, mocktails and they also offer Japanese food. Their staff respond to your orders quickly...

Lots of them: Sing the Karaoke in Timog and Tomas Morato areas

by jumpingnorman

Just after midnight on March 18, 1996, 162 people died in the worst disco inferno in the Philippines and this was later called the OZONE DISCO FIRE. The Ozone Disco was located along Timog Avenue corner Tomas Morato Avenue in Quezon City – a very popular entertainment area frequented by local celebrities due to its fine dining restaurant and bars. Nowadays, you will still find lively entertainment in the form of karaoke bars and even lively gay bars such as Chicos, Adonis and Gigolo. So, if you are into the latter, this is the place to go.

Laughlines and Punchlines: Humour, Vulgar Gay-style

by edwinic

These places are known to be comedy bars. It, however, appeals mostly to the locals as the jokes are meant to be .....for the local audience! These places are frequented by foreigners, however escorted by local relatives/friends.The shows are handled by surprisingly smart and able homosexuals. If you are in for a good night (till morning) laugh...then these are the places. The average spending for an individual is 500php, approx 10 US$) dont dress like you are a cell phone snatcher or else the emcees will pick on you.

Dish: Date with Local TV Stars

by yellowbell

This is place is frequented by local TV stars since it's housed in the building of a TV station called ABS-CBN. They often hold album and program launches.Place is tastefully designed and the food attendants look like they're attendants from a posh restaurant.Cover charge of P300 with (1 free drink = local beer and soda). Food is eclectic. Show starts at 9:30 p.m.The place has limited parking space. I haven't tried parking inside the building though as it's maybe reserved for the building's tenants. Smart casual

Ratsky's Bar

by yellowbell

Mid 20s-30's frequent this bar as the owner is also a former lead vocalist in a band and a TV host.Cover charge range from P250 up depending on the artist on stage. P250 is consummable on both food and drinks on weekdays except Fridays and Saturdays, where only one or two drinks is free. You can choose to eat your dinner as they have rice meals aside from the usual bar foods like chicken fingers, fries or pizza. Shows of live bands start at 9:30 pm. Expect some loud music and some groups of office workers dancing especially on Friday/Saturday nights. This is a smoking bar. It has a mezzanine where parties or corporate events can be held.Parking space for a minimum fee is available at the basement of the Bellagio Square Building where the bar is housed. No rubber sandals or sleeveless shirts for men.

70's Bistro. The alternative place to party.70's Bistro has become somewhat of an institution over the years. Frequented by local 'intelligentsia' and the campus crowd of the University of the Philippines, it's not your run-of-the-mill live music bar that features those show bands doing covers of the American Top 40. This place seems to pride itself with featuring homegrown, honest-to-goodness, unadulterated Philippine talent, and has a loyal following. Activist chic. But all other attire acceptable.

OK, so I'm way past the party-all-night age. These days my friends and I are content to go out for a couple of cheap beers and some intense conversation (still all-nighters, but minus the throbbing music and the monumental hang-overs the day after). And since I gave up beer as a New Year's resolution, I guess it's the company that really counts.Quezon City has some great nightspots to hang out and drink your troubles away, without draining your wallet. The bars in LIBIS offer a great array of choices; so do the old favorites on TOMAS MORATO and KATIPUNAN Avenue. An all-time favorite is TRELLIS on Kalayaan Avenue, which is famous for its sisig (don't ask what it is, just order...trust me on this. Better yet, ask fellow VT member Pinoy a.k.a. Carlo what it's all about. Hehehe!). Casual dress is accepted, but these areas are usually frequented by yuppies winding down for the day and still...
