Daylight Camping at the La Mesa Dam Eco Park

Set up those camping gears here!
    1 more image

If you are looking for a place to spend more peaceful time with yourself or your family, this is one of the cheapest place in Manila. I can easily describe this place as a cross between the activities you can do in Subic and Tagaytay. Though not exactly as cold as the temperature in Tagaytay, but the cool winds that blows your hair in the greenfields of the park will be enough to soothe all your stresses.

One of the many things you can do here for FREE(except the entrance!) is CAMPING.
You can easily setup your colorful tents here anywhere as long as you are within the allowed premises of the La Mesa Dam Eco Park. Except for the alcohol and liquors which are prohibited, you can bring anything here. From packed lunch to chips(just thow the garbages on the trashbins). You can also grill your steaks and barbecues here because of the availabuility of the many grilling stations.

Note: There are no overnight camping here. Park is open from 7am to 7pm. Mondays to Sundays.

Enjoying boating with your loved ones here!

One of the many things you can do here is boating. Boating area size is about one soccerfield. It is only a small part of the pond that is connected with the larger dam. Depth is about 5 feet.
FEE: 150 pesos for half an hour.
Maximum capacity per boat 4-6 adult persons.

Saltwater Swimming Pool in the Heart of the City

The benefits of saltwater cannot be underestimated. If one cannot go to a beach, the alternative is usually a saltwater pool in the spa. I myself had to go to beach resorts with saltwater swimming pool because of my skin rashes due to allergy and atopic dermatitis typical of hypersensitive skin during summer.

Fortunately, there is a cheaper and more relaxing alternative now. La Mesa Ecopark has a well-maintained therapeutic saltwater swimming pool which is a favorite of families with children suffering from skin asthma or prickly heat, as well as senior citizens with painful, swollen legs.

What a welcome treat and relief! With La Mesa Ecopark Saltwater Pool, people can save up on gasoline and time for travel, otherwise spent for far-flung beaches and resorts with saltwater pool.

Who would think that in the bustling Quezon City, there is a man-made boating lagoon where one can spend quality time and bonding opportunity with the family? You need not go to Burnham Park of Baguio to unleash the child in you and enjoy boating with your kids. You'll find the beautiful Superferry Boating Lagoon where you can go boating amid the rainforest of La Mesa Ecopark, where you can burn calories and whiff fresh air for a breather, and more importantly, where you can share happy moments with your children or partner.

Yes, you can go fishing in the city... at the La Mesa Ecopark. You can rent the fishing rod and fish at the banks of the man-made lagoon, or rent a small boat and fish in the lagoon. Whatever you catch, you can grill and eat, but you must pay a certain amount per kilo of the fish caught:-)

Whether for your family or for your company, you may conduct team building exercises at the spacious La Mesa Eco Park. You can rent one of the many pavilions for your assembly and meals, and you may bring your own caterer. Everything has to be coordinated with the Administration Office. When my daughter's company had their Team Building Exercises, I noticed that there were 3 more companies conducting theirs, too.

When we went to La Mesa Ecopark, I noticed children entering the premises in lne. Apparently, they came for an educational field trip. After an orientation on the ecosystem and a guidd tour, the children were seen happily romping around. I was pleased to see that they had such interest in the giant trees, exotic flowers, hyacinth and the the La Mesa Dam Watershed from which their water supply comes from.
