St. Clare Monastery for Prayer Intercessions

by cyndymc

Under the C5 Road near Katipunan Avenue, the St. Clare Monastery is being sought by Catholics and non-Catholics alike who believe in the power of intercessory prayers of the "Poor Nuns of St. Clare". From a trivial request for fine weather on a very important date (like weddings, events, etc) to complicated domestic problems or any nagging personal problem, the contemplative nuns are believed to greatly help in asking God for the granting of prayer requests. How this strong belief in the intercessory powers of St. Clare nuns came about, no one can categorically answer. But it is surmised by believers that a clear granting of prayer request might be derived from Sta. Clara's name (Clara=Clear), and eggs are usually offered as donations (clear eggwhites=Clara=clear weather). To go there by car from Makati, take C5 Road, drive straight to Katipunan Flyover, exit to the road down ("ilalim")...

Travel all the Philippine islands in 1 Day only

by yellowcab

Did you know that you can travel the Philippine Islands in just one(1) day! Its hard to believe but you can do it here. Actually you can make it up to even 1 minute only ... how can this be possible?Try visiting this address: Located near Banawe Road Quezon City Philippines.Actually this is in Fe del Mundo Hospital otherwise known as Children's Memorial Hospital. At the hospital lobby sits a big pond of miniature Philippine islands. (somewhat similar to what you can see in Luneta) Complete with landscapes and mountains. We tried taking the pics here while waiting for a friend here!I am writing this in one of my "Off the Beaten Paths" since only a few people/travellers would really dare to go to this place just for this.
