Starbucks: Great Coffee & Pastries

by cyndymc

We went to Starbucks after lunch at Gerry's Grill. Starbucks needs no introduction, after all, it is an iconic coffeehouse. It offers not only coffee, specialty breads and coffee cakes, but free wifi, too. It is a great place to go for brunch or after-meal coffee and dessert. I like their frappucino.

Gerry's Grill: Great For Family Get-Together

by cyndymc

Gerry's Grill in Cubao, Quezon City offers the same food fare Gerry's Grill has become known for: local favorites, grilled seafood and even exotic cuisine. Although the Cubao Branch is rather small, the ambiance remains inviting to families and groups getting together. We went there to meet my youngest daughter and her family, and although we weren't that euphoric with the food (compared to other Gerry's Grill branches in Metro Manila), the staff's warm, smiling faces compensated for the long wait to be seated and served food.Gerry's Grill is also a popular place for those who simply want to meet for beer and pica-pica. Taco Bell: Mexican Fast Food

by cyndymc

Taco Bell is a welcome place for Mexican food lovers. At Taco Bell, you don't have to spend more for good-tasting Mexican food. Don't expect too much of ambiance and service at this Mexican restaurant though. It is fast food style so tables and chairs are cramped and very few, sometimes you can't help but stand by a table to wait for other diners to finish eating. Service is fair, but could be slow especially during weekends. My grandson kidded that it is slow fast food. Food servings are small, but probably justified by the cost. This is the only restaurant where I was reprimanded for taking pictures ;( Fiesta Taco Salad, Crunchy Taco Supreme, Grilled Chicken Burrito, Nachos Supreme

BlackBeard's Seafood Island: Pirate inspired Resto

by kemisteryoso

I think Seafood Island can be found on every big mall in Metro Manila. But I tried the one in TRINOMA Mall in Quezon City. They offer seafood and grilled favorites. Why pirate inspired because almost all of the waiters really looked like pirates even the ladies! Some of them even have beard and have long hair tied in a ponytail.Try their boodle feast that comes in various sizes. The picture I uploaded is actually good for 4 persons. Boodle feast is like how our friends from the Military eat when they are in combat or mission. There’s a big square tray covered with banana leaves that fits your table. The rice (java) is at the center and on top of it is some kind of shellfish soup and around the rice are your viands (grilled squid, St. Peter’s fish, pork, crispy prawns, crab, vegetable and condiments). There was also a band singing while we are eating. If you love to sing and have the guts to...

Kopi Roti: Simple Coffee

by Lensky

They only serve one kind of coffee, one kind of tea and one kind of hot chocolate but so far, everyone that I know who came in here to taste it found it great. They have lots of stuff paired with coffee like their Kopi Bun, their own French Toast and a lot more. Very popular withe college kids. Of course I like their Kopi (coffee) paired with buttered toast sweetened with a bit of jam. The weirdest thing here is that it is great if eaten with their soft boiled egg with a bit of white ground pepper and some syrup (see picture), which of course is optional. At first, its so weird I would not even touch the eggs coz its soft boiled but when I tasted it, I'm hooked!

Everything At Steak: Cheap But Delicious Steak

by Lensky

I'm not a big fan of beef but I just can't get enough of the steaks at this resto. Small but known for its delicious but very, very affordable T-bone steak is well known only to true foodies. They have other things on the menu too like open sandwiches, pastas, burgers and fish dishes. T-bone steak right off the grill smothered in their house gravy with a serving of mashed potato. Best enjoyed with a glass of red iced tea.

The Noodle Shop: Ma Mon Luk

by tanamay

Ma Mon Luk is still the quaint restaurant of old. They started in Chinatown, Manila way back then and now the only existing branch is the one on Quezon Ave.The restasturant walls are decorated by framed old newspaper and magazine clippings about the restaurant. Big ceiling fans with no air conditioners. Cash only.Even with these they are always full during lunch and dinner, for its 'Filipinized' Chinese dishes.Value for your money! Ma Mon Luk is famous for its big bowl of "mami" (chicken or beef noodle) soup and big "siopao" (steamed pork dumpling) with their secret, delicious sauce.Try also their "pancit canton" (fried noodle), "lumpiang shangai" (meat roll), etc.

Sangkalan Grill: Filipino Dishes

by bojomacaraig

Good Filipino foods... i suggest the Sangkalan Grill at Sct.Albano South Triangle Quezon City.not just good but delicious..Prices are reasonable for all the menus. Grilled fresh seafoods, meat and poultry. Tha ambiene is also good as the typical filipino landscape. They also have branches in Visayas AVe and Fairview both in Quezon City Sisig, Pinaputok na pla pla, Kare kare, and inihaw na pusit.so delicious.

Recipes by Café Metro: The ultimate in comfort food

by travelbuff007

Recipes is a Korean-thai-fil-chinese fusion resto.. their signature dishes is definitely a must try. With their minimalist interior (trinoma branch) it complements their food presentation. I personally love their General Chicken (P200), and Crispy Tilapia (P200). Another good pick is the Adobo flakes and the Chicken teriyaki which is located on their P165 meals which includes a dish, rice and a glass of ice tea..Service is friendly and efficient specially the Manager. Recipes is not exactly authentic gourmet food.. more on simple comfort food that you can really prepare at home. =) Ill give it a B for its presentation, details and service. It’s really a must try for couple on a date and to those people want to impress their family treating them to Sunday’s lunch after Mass (10AM) inside Trinoma.
