I had a headache that afternoon but I managed myself to go to Baybay Beach just to get some negative ions. I believe that inhaling oxygen from nature will relieve me of whatever abnormal activity in my body. True enough, after minutes of strolling with some friends, my body temperature got back to normal, it was therapeutic in a way. The grayish sand of the beach is so smooth that we removed our slippers and walked barefooted. Though we never had a chance of swimming, the cool sea water touching our feet was a good experience that we ran and played along with the small waves. At the shore, we saw some of the men gathering sea shells and children drawing images on the sand. It was a sight to discover what the locals are doing on a normal day. Our afternoon stroll was indeed short but fun and memorable.

Just 30 minute ride from Roxas City, Sta. Monica Church can be reached in Panay, Capiz. It houses the biggest bell in Asia and 3rd in the world. It measures 7 feet in height and 5 feet in diameter. Seventy sacks of coins were used to complete the bell which weighs 10.4 tons. The sound of the gigantic bell can even be heard 8 kilometers away.
