    Spend time with friends

by syllybabe Updated May 5, 2003

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Favorite thing: I made a second trip to Tagaytay with my college girlfriends and spent the afternoon at Tagaytay Highlands supposedly for a relaxing spa treatment but we never got around to it. We ended up chilling at the main clubhouse enjoying the view.

Fondest memory: We must have had an "IGNORE US" sign on our foreheads...either that or the waitstaff in Tagaytay Highlands is simply too slow (lazy). We had to ask for napkins, forks, etc. and when they brought it, they'd only give to whoever asked. Kinda irritating but we were having such a good time it didn't matter.

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Favorite thing: Tagaytay, Taal Lake and Taal Volcano are heaven for photography, especially if the weather is very good. I took a lot of photographs with my digital camera when I was there, and the photos turned out very well. If you really want good photos, I suggest you go for the trek up to Taal Volcano, it is tiring but worth the effort :)

    Sunrise at Tagaytay

by victorwkf Updated Aug 9, 2006

    2 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Favorite thing: I was very fortunate to catch a beautiful sunrise at Tagaytay in May 2006. You need to wake up very early, about 5.45am onwards to be able to catch the sun rising and shinning its rays onto the Taal Lake and volcano. More photographs of the sunrise are at the travelogue section of this VT page.

    Interesting basin at Leslie's Restaurant

by victorwkf Written Aug 9, 2006

    1.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Favorite thing: There is an interesting washing basin at the toilet of Leslie's Restaurant (see photo). It is actually a traditional water pump with a handle as the tap. In order to turn on the tap, the switch is actually at the bottom side, and not by pumping the water pump which I did but later found out it was wrong! Very interesting indeed :)

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Favorite thing: Main dining room at Sonya's Garden...
They randomly turn on the sprinkler system while you dine and it gives you an outdoorsy feeling when you hear the "rain" come down through the greenhouse roof.
