Flower eaters - *chomp *chomp by moomoos At Sonja's Garden they serve lunch & dinner, but at very early hours. Dinner starts from 1600hrs - 1900hrs. Lunch presumably starts from 1100hrs - 1500hrs. The meals are in set menu - Appetizer (Fruits/Salad/Bread), Main course (Pasta with tomato or white sauce with shrimp or chicken) and Desert (Grilled Sweet Potato)
Some of the ingredients in the menu are fresh from Sonja's own garden. Rose petals are thrown into the salad. Sounds weird, but tastes rather good actually. The desert is the best. My favourite. Grilled sweet potatoe soaked in caramel sauce. Heaven! Leave a Comment Theme: Health FoodPrice: US$11-20 » Currency ConverterComparison: more expensive than average

Where, oh where my Prince? by moomoos Sonja erected harems like this one here all over her garden. It makes you feel really dreamy, and the explosion of colors from the blooming flowers all around you is absolutely fantastic! One can sit in the harem and chat with friends or even play board games amidst this fairy-like setting. Pasta Course - from www.biyahero.net by talullah I decided to add a tip in this category about Sonya's Garden as the food is another story. There's no need to waste minutes poring over the menu and wasting a few more deciding what to try. You'll be served an excellent 3-course meal: Fresh salad (I assume the greens are from the garden), a tasty pasta course and a native dessert of sweet bananas. Don't forget to call for reservations!!!
The pasta is to die for! Kain naaa! by nimato This food strip in front of Mahogany Public Market is consists of a dozen or so restaurants (turo-turo style) side by side with each other. Its clientele are mostly people applying for driver's license and vehicle registration from the nearby Land Transportation Office.
All dishes are worth P60 per order. Some of my favorites are bulalo (beware of the cholesterol though) and crispy dilis. Do try also their local fish - the tawilis - endemic to Taal Lake. ViewSite Restaurant ofcourse has a nice view of Taal Lake, the food is simple yet delicious and surprisingly affordable. Entertaiment: while eating, an acoustic group would politely approach you and sing your favorite song.. you can even make a request of your favorite song. Weather is sunny with a cool breeze...perfect for cuddling to keep you warm!
1) Bulalo Steak is good - beef is soft and the gravy makes it perfect! 2) Fried Tawilis - this little fish sure taste BIG TIME! crunchy and tender.. delicious! 3) Salted Egg and grilled eggplant PLUS Bagoong - pinoy dish is simply the best! Mushroom Burger fastfood restaurant, Tagaytay by victorwkf There is a very famous mushroom burger fastfood restaurant located next to the Taal Vista Hotel which you must visit when you are in Tagaytay. This place grows its own mushrooms and then blend it with beef which are then served on hamburgers. You can order one set which also comes with fries and soft drinks, about US$4-5. Unfortunately now, they do not allow people to visit the mushroom growing buildings or else it will be even more interesting. RSM overlooking Taal Lake by baleleng The ambiance is great because there's a big area outside the main restaurant there are cottages with a great view of the Taal Lake. RSM also caters to weddings, baptisms and other special occassions. They also offer a fast food counter inside the main restaurant. House specialties include hot bulalo, crispy pata, sisig, grilled tuna belly. They also serve chinese, seafood and pasta dishes. There’s ballroom dancing and videoke on top of dining in the main restaurant.
Bulalo (Beef Thigh Bone Stew)! Tagayatay/Batangas specialty! Perfect for the cold weather and ice cold beer! Good food, nice interiors and location.Perfect for travellers because this restaurant is 24-hours seven days a week.I always love eating kebab and curry, that is authentic indian curry.Just a warning, indian food is heavy-if you are big group or at least a group of three its perfect to order mutton or chicken biryani. Love their rose lassi and pineapple rose,so unusual...So worth the trip. Try also their initial spa services.Foot reflex and philippine hilot is super though their main spa is still under construction-they do these in one of the rooms. Yes, they have rooms also but in semi-operation at the moment as the other rooms are still being fitted-out.
Kebab and Pineapple Rose. Love the flavor and spice of the kebab. Highly recommended. Lounge in this restaurant all day long, all night long without having the feeling of being driven away like an unwanted overstaying guest. They will let you use the wi-fi absolutely free. Just make sure your laptop battery is fully charged because once you plug in one of their convenience outlets they will charge you a minimal amount. Suggestion: just at least order some of their desserts/appetizers like Samosas, Roti Channai, Shahi Paneer, Kulfi (Indian ice cream) or Gulabjamun "while you while" away the time surfing the net. This is to make your waiter attentive for whatever small requests you may want. You can arrive there even three in the morning and you can still order any of the items in their menu. Truly a full 24-hours restaurant. I visited one time with a couple celebrating their anniversary and a group with someone celebrating a birthday- the restaurant gave away an indian dessert and special indian drinks for each table-nice gimmick huh. One of the best places if not the only one in Metro-Tagaytay with the best lounge sofas. The interiors is very much okay though we've been to this restaurant numerous times already and it seems they are continually expanding, detailing the place without end so expect a few scaffolding view in the lower part of the restaurant.
You should order their Biryanis, Masalas, Curry and Tikka, taste it for yourselves. The best!!! They also offer Hookah/Sishah for those who want to have some fun smoking. The flavors are very nice. Try choosing Apple or Blueberry flavor. If you order Shawarma, be prepared that this is Indian Shawarma though not that far from the taste of your regular Shawarma but bear in mind this is not Persian Shawarma. If you want some night time fun, best time to visit during weekend is Saturday, they have live acoustic band starting 9pm until probably 130am while you do your vices like drinking your beer lite and smoking Hookah. If you're just there for the wifi, try visiting during weekdays or early Sunday morning. Good view of the lake and volcano and you can also see Splendido Taal Golf and Country Club, Canyon Woods and even the far away castle of Fantasy World that is assuming there are no fog when you visit. They also have a semi-operational hotel accomodation and spa services. If you're a first timer, try initially their foot reflex: 45mins-1hr for 500, it will be worth it. If you are staying at the Days Hotel or nearby, there is a nice and cosy restuarant next to the lobby of the Days Hotel with nice food, good views of the Taal Lake & volcano and with Kara-oke facilities as well. Very good and relaxing atmosphere indeed and the price is quite reasonable. Leave a Comment
