UltraLight-ing in Bukidnon

by marthakriska

Fly in an Ultralight over Bukidnon!"The ride took a little more than 15 minutes. It was very cold up there (we were flying at about 2000 feet above sea level) and my nose kinda hurt a little bit because of the wind hitting my face. With the noise from the wind and the aircraft's engine, one has nothing to do up there but to relish the breathtaking view of Bukidnon's mountains, valleys, rivers, and waterfalls. It's relatively pricey, though, but I strongly suggest others to save up just for this because it will be worth your every peso." rate: P1275.00/head (15 mins.)for more photos, check out http://www.flickr.com/photos/marthakriska/6144111028/in/set-72157627662501284

El Nido Tour

by gladzgrey

You will really love to stay in El Nido for a month! All the islands are amazing with white sand and crystallize water. You'll never get tired of looking at clear blue ocean while relaxing in the white very fine sand of their beaches. Diving and snorkeling are the best activities but if you have that endurance you may also try Kayaking from the Town to the different islands. Once you're there you'll be captivated by the beauty of El Nido. We had the best time there through the help of ARMAN TOURS. For two decades in the El Nido Tours, they remained so humble and very approachable businessmen as they continue giving services to tourists like us. Manong Mascardo and his Wife are very passionate in their business that they're the ones who directly communicate with their clients. You may contact them at 09192034199. You ask for discounts since they own the boats, they can give you the most...

Sea Walker

by maryjaponeskuizon

Visited Cebu City, Philippines with my children ages 9,10 and 19 yrs. olds last year in August. We decided to try the Sea Walker. A friend introduced us to a resort beach in Mactan,Cebu where they do Sea Walker. It was expensive but it was worth it. It was safe because before we went sea walking we had to go thru an orientation. The main instructor was Japanese and the rest of the staff were Filipinos. It took us about 20 minutes underwater to finish the activity. Since I wasn't able to bring with me a waterproof camera I had to order our photos at the sea walker shop. I paid $60 for the sea walker and $ 15 for the cd photos. Lunch was included but it wasn't what I and my kids expected. Pick-up rides from the hotel to the resort (round trip)were included in the fees. My kids will never forget the sea walking experience. They enjoyed feeding the tropical fishes, held a big starfish and...

The Taal vulcano and lake.

by cachaseiro

The Taal vulcano is located around 70 kilometers south of Manila and it´s only a two hour bus ride to get there, so it can be visited as a daytrip from Manila, but i would suggest that you stay overnight if you go there as there are many nice hotels at resonable prices there. It´s a vulcano that has shown quite some activity in recent years, but as i am writing this it´s quiet and it´s very pleasant to visit Taal. You can take a boatride out around the lake and to the island there or you can just stay ashore and enjoy the views of the vulcano and the surrounding area. This is also a good area for hiking if you are in to that kinda stuff.

Enjoy the back up north!

by brigitte_lee

If you are on your way towards the northern part of the Philippines, don't forget to drop by to Ilocos Norte's Pagudpud. Definitely worth your time!Hiring a driver to tour you around will definitely save you from hassles. Get to see the lighthouse, splunge into soaring waves, meet locals and enjoy!

Go to Occidental Mindoro

by parsifal56

Lousy infrastructure, but small, nice villages, very friendly people, beautiful ocean and swimming and scuba-opportunities. Good bussing and boating to the island from Manilla and other areas - cheap flights, too. Start your trip in San Jose (the capital)

Zipline in Boracay

by kidfree

There have been a number of zipline centre's opened in South East Asia in recent years. Generally this means going with a group and you wait while individuals take turns to go from one platform to another in a tree canopy with each line generally getting a little more thrilling. Thats fine if you don't mind hanging around until the tenth person has been unhooked and you then take it in turns to go to the next platform. At Fairways and Bluewater on Boracay its a bit more simple and a lot more of a thrill. There is just the one zip line and you get you're adrenaline rush in a single hit as you and a partner ride side by side along the 300 metre long line, and with a drop of around 100 feet its pretty fast. At 700 pesos including transport its good value, try it.

manila

by hanspeter_W.

Fascination is an understatement of the feeling that one gets by visiting Manila, a lively metropolis commanding a magnificent view of the world-famous Manila Bay and its golden sunset. Historic, bustling, awe-inspiring, the “Philippine Cosmopolitan Capital” is a blend of cultures and flavors that offers an endless serving of places to see, sights to behold, and experiences to never forget. Right in the heart of Manila is found the “Walled City” – Intramuros. Constructed in 1571, during the period of Spain’s colonization of the Philippines, it comprised of European buildings and churches that have been replicated in different parts of the archipelago. It had been one of the world’s best preserved medieval cities. Here, dungeons and old churches share space with art galleries, theaters, a nature park. At the center of Intramuros is the grand Manila Cathedral, the seat of the Catholic...
