Eons ago, I used to think that it was pointless to go to Bukit Batok Nature Park since it was nothing more than a disused quarry or a Chinese GuiLin wannabe. My ire rose further when I noted that some sods paid close to a million dollars for an apartment that faces that bit of rocky facade. Well, since I started birdwatching, my opinion changed a little. There are a myraid of birds to be seen over here. Scroll down to see what could be seen here, with a little patience. Just take note though, it may not be safe for females to wander around the park in the early evening. There was a notorious murder/rape case that remains unsolved till this day.

As this park looks similar to that of Guilin in China - a granite rock sitting within a lake and its beautifully landscaped, many wedding couples like to come here for their wedding outing photograph.

While you are walking in the Rainforest, you are able to hear the whishper of the birds. It may be came from the tree just near you or behind you. If you look carefully, you may be able to spot the nest on the tree.
