Changi Sree Ramar Temple

The Sree Ramar Temple at Changi Village is the only temple of its kind in South East Asia which is dedicated to Lord Ramar, and situated in an almost unique location facing the East, overlooking the sea and guarding the village.

The Temple has a rich and colourful history stretching back more than 50 years. From its humble beginnings as a shrine at the foot of a tree at its present site, it has become a spiritual centre for the Hindu community in eastern Singapore.

There is also another uniqueness of the Temple - Changi Sree Ramar Temple is the only temple in South East Asia to have Sri Ragavendra in Brindavanam.

Changi boat jetty, Singapore

Near the changi village is the changi boat jetty where you can take a short boat ride to the beautiful and tranquil Pulau Ubin island on the other side. More information about Pulau Ubin can be found in my VT Pulau Ubin page.

Changi Village bus terminus, Singapore

You can take SBS no. 2 from the city area all the way to the bus terminus at Changi Village. The bus ride will bring you through the heartland of Singapore where you see the landscape change from city to surburbs. Another way is to take the MRT train to Tampines station followed by SBS no. 29.
