The Singapore General Hospital is just next to the Kampung Bahru area, and there is a famous canteen there called the Housemen Canteen which sells very delicious local food at a very cheap price. The famous stalls in the canteen are the ones selling vegetable rice, fishball noodles and chicken rice.
