Nothing much special but it is definitely one of the longest surviving cafe in Singapore. Check it out yourself! Drive around the streets of Singapore and you will notice just how clean the highways and bi-ways of this metropolis are kept. The people of this booming trade city pride themselves on keeping things orderly and spotless. They're quite hospitable as well. They know how to make life comfortable and give you the celebrity treatment. With draws like fine dining selections and the vast collection of music memorabilia lining their interior, you'll feel pampered when visiting the Hard Rock Cafe Singapore.

A usual sight at ChinaBlack on weekends ;) by Louis_sg One of the best RnB Clubs in Singapore. Alternates in Trance music although RnB is still the main draw. On weekends (Saturdays especially) the queue starts forming as early 10-20 mins to 8pm. Although the club opens at 8, the queue would be very long by 830, and ridiculously long by 9! A quick estimate shows that if Pacific Plaza (the building that houses Black) collapses, the queue formed outside the building would be able to hold it up! (okk im just kidding.. but you get the drift ;) Be warned, queue times of 2 to 5 hours can be expected if you join the Q late. Once inside, you wil be allured by the decor (I will leave more of that to later). Drinks are going cheap before Midnight as part of Black's anniversary promotion (til end of 2004). $3 for a glass and $10 for a jug of housepour. From Hotspots website on ChinaBlack: AMBIENCE - With a snazzy, dark interior, this place is a smorgasbord of Eastern and Western decorative influences. Large signboards with Chinese characters on them dot some of the walls, giving the place a feel of a chic Oriental express association. Plus sofas and dim lighting add to the moody atmosphere. The best thing, however, is the very decently-sized dance floor which takes up the central platform. for more, check the website out.

Everybody has a favourite.. and this is probably mine.. so far! Wednesday is Mambo night.. with lotsa 80's and early 90's music.. though they tend to play some Top 40s too... you may find the crowd on this day pretty young.. ie. below 21 Weekends is usually house music with house music... In the same vicinity is Phuture.. is really really my favourite coz it's a more RnB/ Hip Hop place.. but the area is really small and it's soooo popular so it can tend to be real tight squeeze!
Anything is allowed.. even jeans and flip flops. However.. i've just read in the papers that if you wear prints related to drugs.. ie. prints of the marijuana leaf.. you may be denied entry! This place is notoriously well known to sailors and single men visiting Singapore. Please do visit Orchard Towers if you need a nice "date" for the night... This place practically comes alive every night. It's not a red light district but the girls want you so bad! In fact, they don't care if your fat or thin, or the size of your peepee, they only want your pennies to share! Some are Indonesians, some are Thais, some are Filipinos and some are well basically men in dressed up as women so pick your mix carefully and have a rockin' date! Leave a Comment Theme: Adult Spot

I don't know if I should have list this under a tourist trap or not but this will probably be more appropriate. Newton Circus has just been revamped. It has got a new look and is still a popular outdoor eating spot for locals and tourist alike and it stays open til the wee hours in the morning on weekends. It gets exceptionally busy during the weekend so finding a table may be a bit of a wait. However, as soon as your enter, there will be hoards of shop assistants offering to find you a seat. If you are not a seafood person, then that's no good and you should just sit yourself down. They will then hand you a menu and expect you to order from them. There has been bad press about these shop assistants in the papers and they often end up quarrelling with one another just trying to get a customer. They will probably give you evils if you don't order from them but there's not much more they can do so don't worry. They get paid by commission you see - like 10% of your total order. Some people find them annoying, some people might think of it as a laugh. I think of it as an experience so you definitely should visit Newton Circus Hawker Centre if you are in town! Troy at CHIJMES by Ewingjr98 CHIJMES (Convent of the Holy Infant Jesus... ) is the best nightlife area in Singapore. This two-story complex contains bars, pubs, restaurants, and dance clubs of all kinds. The best dance club is called China Jump, and we really enjoyed the Irish pub called Father Flanagan's. The restaurants include Italian, Turkish, Spanish, Latin, pizza, Japanese, Vietnamese, and others, most in a very classy, even elegant setting. The U-shaped Chijmes building surrounds an old church... the building used to be a religious school that was built in the 1850s. The restoration and urban renewal that has taken place at CHIJMES unique and amazing. Me at CHIJMES by Ewingjr98 With a dance floor, live music, huge bar and plenty of tables, China Jump is consistently one of Singapore's best night spots. They also have a great menu with pasta, steaks, seafood, chicken, lamb, duck, and pork along with unique dishes such as ostrich steaks. Meals range from about S$18 to S$30 (US$11 - US$18). We arrived after dinner, paid our S$20 cover charge (which includes one drink), and bellied up to the bar. We only spent about an hour here, drinking rum & Coke, listening to the band and watching the well-dressed locals enjoying a night out. This is a very popular spot and for good reason. by traps Clarke Quay is situated near the Singapore River and it has a magnificent nightlife! Food and drinks are readily available. This part of Singapore caters more to the family as well for those who seek local touch. There are some great pubs which plays great jazz and blues. And every November, the Singapore River Buskers Festival is being held at the Quay which stretch all the way down to the Fullerton Hotel or the new Esplanade. Great event there..filled with laughters! Do Check it out! Leave a Comment Theme: Eating and Drinking

silhouette of the safari by bpacker IMHO, this is the best night spot in town. Forget about the clubbing areas in the quay region with the over-priced pubs and restaurants and the touting waiters. Chill out with the animals in the zoo and go for the night show. You might be one of "lucky" guest who finds a 10m long python under your seat.
Been to a sauna? Yes, the night safari is just like that. The dense canopy of trees in the safari will raise the humidity and temperature levels. Do wear cotten tops / shorts and don't forget the insect repellent. Are you an owl? Love venturing out at night? Click on b'packer's page, for more night haunts.
