Dbl-O: Clubbing

by reshmi

This was my regular hang-out on a Thursday night. I highly recommend the Dbl-O nightclub because the music is awesome (they get some resident and guest DJs that can really mix up the music). Thursday nights was always R&B, and free entry for the ladies (an added bonus). Drinks are also quite reasonably priced, and much cheaper than most other Singapore clubs I went to. No special dress code required, other than no flip-flops.

M.O.S: clubbing

by THLIN

Standardised British company MOS club. Fancy place, nice music, decent people and so on. If you've ever been to one, you will know how the others are like. Sadly, the one in Taipei has already gone. Tickets for male is SGD25 and for female is SGD20; two drinks from the bar are including. Anything decent and make you feel nice. Please take your ID with you in order to get the permission for entrance.

Starlight Dinner Cruise: Clifford Pier

by kyoub

Clifford Pier is located near the financial and business district. It is almost the last of what was once the old seaport's bustling waterfront. As dusk settles over the harbour, leave Clifford Pier in an old chinese junk and watch the Singapore skyline transform from a modern metropolis into a romantic city. As the junk cruises around Sentosa, a buffet dinner is served, a delightful spread of local and International cuisine. As start back you can see the bright lights of Singapore in the distance.

Zouk

by Flipboy

Zouk is Singapore's biggest and most widely known nightclub. It is comprised of four sections with two separate entry charges. Zouk is the largest area where most of the music is House, but they put on live music, guest DJ's and fashion shows in this area.Phuture is the Rap and R&B area next to Zouks main sectionWine Bar is outside the complex and is a chill area for pre or post-partying.Velvet is the max-n-relax area, which has a separate entry fee from the rest and is sometime held for private parties. I went to a wedding here once and it was definately the most interesting wedding I have seen.

Number 5 Bar: Have a beer

by TonyBagnall

A nice quite pedestrianised spot just off Orchard Road. When you've had enough of the hustle and bustle of the shops call in here for an ice-cold refreshing beer. Many different types including have Hoegarden - yum. Has a happy hour until about 9pm so drinks are a bit cheaper! The bar is in an old shop house and has lots of character. there are tables so you can drink outside.

Shunjuu: Best Place in Town to Down a Sake

by bpacker

Other than beer, bpacker does other liquor as well. Sake wasn't an exception except that it was difficult to find a good place in Singapore to savour the perfect brew. Well, when I finally found one, it came as a bonus that was good food to be had as well. Apart from the dazzling choice of 40 types of sake, I had a good slew of food to choose from. The yakitori here were the main draw so I chose to few to down with a good chilled sake. Yum, after gobbling down a couple of sticks, I decided on my favourites. The grilled chicken with plum and basil topped my list. A close second would be the scallops that were hugged by a layer of seaweed and pork. The flesh were tender and juicy on the outside and grilled to perfection on the outside..CostPretty moderate, 2 sticks of scallop yakitori came at $9. Drinks were below $20.

Orchard Road: Walking the golden Miles

by Nixter01

Orchard Road is probably the most well known road in Singapore, its known for its thousands of shops, food stalls, decorations, access to the underground systems and more. Even by night it is a hustling and bustling place with hundreds of locals and tourists all on one road, night time is the best as you get to see all the pretty lights, and the best time is january when they switch the christmas lights on ~ They're STUNNIG !If you think for one minute it'll be better and cooler at night, think again, Singapore is just as hot by night as it is by day ( slightly cooler but not a great deal ), so my advice here is to find a nice bar and sink a pint ! Cosy Bay

by victorwkf

If you want something different in Singapore, then you should experience Cosy Bay. This place for eating and drinking at night is located on an old lookout tower on the Geylang River (see photos). The view and atmosphere is unique, relaxing and fantastic. I enjoyed my visits to this place, which is actually quite near my house. You can reach here by going to the Singapore Indoor Stadium at Kallang (take bus no. 16 from the city area) followed by crossing a bridge over the Geylang River. If you drive, then the parking lot is located near the end of Tanjong Rhu Road next to the Pebble Bay condominium.

Orchard Towers at NIGHT

by DexterTan

Probably one of the sleaziest places to visit in Singapore at NIGHT. NOT a place to enjoy a few pints of beer. Beer served in mugs or jugs are watered down, tastes like horsepiss and overpriced (SGD 36.00 for one jug equivalent to 3 mugs) . Almost all establishments there are for picking up call girls, hookers and transvestites. If that's your objective, then its probably one of the best places to be. You can get condoms at a convenience store open on the 1st floor.... so no problem?Trust me, its not the best place to bring your girlfriend to. She'd be mistaken for a working girl by the male patrons... that would be embarassing!! If you're in the area, you'd probably be better off at Muddy Murphy's Irish Pub (at the basement of Orchard Hotel) across the road from Orchard Towers for some great beer and music. Or walk down Orchard Road and you'd see some pubs along the way. Hard Rock Cafe...

Clarke Quay: Sit alongside the river and have a nice cool beer!

by JoelWillTravel

Clarke Quay is nice area to have something to eat, to have a nice cold beer or to just people watch. The Quay area is lined with plenty of bars and restaurants but is not too rowdy, great to sit along the river with a nice cold Tiger Beer and just people watch. Nothing special is required but I'd go smart casual if you're going to be heading into some of the bars and restaurants.
