Hot and humid weather warrants a casual wear, bring lots of them. Bring disposable underwear and socks, very few laundromart available and the hotels charge too expensively for laundry. Sun Tan lotion is a must if u are under the sun for a long time.

Comfortable summer clothing is a must. If you are a male caucasian, bring some condoms with you. At local pubs, some local women have a reputation of going out with caucasian men just for the fun of it; and they are not shy to admit so. They will literally flung themselves at you.

The importation of any chewing gum into Singapore is prohibited. Although it is not totally offense to do so. You may bring a small quantity in for personal consumption.

Light summer clothing from January till december. Casual dress is acceptable but some establishments may require a more formal dress code. Be prepared for the humidity - bring light summer clothing and dress comfortably.

There's only one good bikeshop in Singapore so you should bring all your stuff (and spares) from home. The bikeshop is located north of Chinatown. Prices are at a European level however. They mainly have mountainbike equipment. Come allmost naked and buy everything in one of the many, many, many shopping malls.

We stayed in a four star hotel so I took a normal suitcase with me which was safe to leave in the hotel all day. I took a money wallet which I wore all the time around my neck which was all I really needed on me during the day while sightseeing. Comfortable shoes are a must as you will probably be doing a lot of walking if you like shopping and seeing the different markets. Singapore is quite humid so shorts and t-shirts are probably the best way to go. You may need long pants and sleeves at night time or in the winter months. I took everything with me but I didnt see a problem with getting any urgent items if they were required. I got a film developed while there and most of the didn't turn out so I might just wait until I get home in future.

Loose and light summer clothing is recommended, especially for outdoor activities like sightseeing. 'Smart casual' is usually acceptable everywhere except for formal business dining or when specified in an invitation. Smart casual usually means shirts (long or short-sleeves but not T-shirts) or blouses, and trousers or skirts. Be sure to bring along your swimwear....you need it when you visit Fantasy Island or taking a dip in the hotel's pool on a hot day. Bring a portable tent too( ermm.....if you have, if not a groundsheet would be good enough), if you want to spend your night by the beach.

As Singapore is well-known as a 'Shoppers' Paradise', be sure to bring a bigger or an extra luggage that are able to hold all your gifts home. The dress code is simple as Singapore is Summer all year round. The preferred clothing would be Jeans, T-shirts, Bermudas and Shorts. The footwear includes sandals, slippers and track shoes. There is not a need to bring any weather gear. Singapore is known for its city cleanliness. The medical facilities is also one of the best in Asia. Thus, visitors need not bring any or much medical kit.Majority of the hotels in Singapore provide basic toiletries, example; shampoo, soap and toilet paper. There is not a need to bring any toiletries except for personal towels. Be sure to bring your cameras along to capture the unforgettable experiences. Prepared extra suntan lotion as Singapore is a sizzling hot country. Also bring along your favourite sunglass...

Haversack T-shirts(preferably made of cotton) Singapore is just 1 degree north from the equator so normally it's warm all year round...and also, a sunglass is very appropriate(it's normally quite sunny over here)Move around comfortably in sports shoes,T-shirts and Jeans:-)

The best type of bag to bring is a suitcase where you put your clothes and a haversack or pouch where you can carry by your side and also put your wallet and other small necessities. You MUST wear light summer clothing (preferably of natural fabrics) most practical, especially for outdoor activities like sightseeing. Most restaurants and nightspots are not restrictive on the dress code - polo shirts, t-shirts, jeans, slacks, blouses and skirts, sun dresses and sneakers are acceptable at most places. Although some establishments require formal wear for the evening, suits and evening dresses will never be out of place in Singapore's trendy night-spots. Leave all these things behind....You can easily get all these here at the convenience stores or supermarkets!!
